Multi-purpose vehicles for every kind of driver
With humble beginnings in the early 1900s, Ford is a heritage brand with past triumphs but has avoided complacency by continually tweaking its brand favourites and relentlessly innovating, too.
It’s successfully navigated a path from the eureka moment at Henry Ford’s kitchen table to its place in modern Britain as a go-to brand for families looking for an affordable car — and the first car of choice for many young motorists. Now Ford has turned its attention to reinventing its vehicles to be future-ready, pursuing an all-electric lineup and carbon-neutral operations.
From small and loveable mini hatchbacks to enormous people carriers, SUVs, and vans, Ford has every size of car up its capacious sleeve. Throw the all-electric Mustang Mach-E and an immensely impressive sports car — the Ford GT — into the mix, and it's hard to see what’s missing from Ford’s diverse lineup.
Safety has always been a cornerstone of Ford. It doesn’t rest on its laurels, with researchers and engineers incorporating ever-advancing safety features into the latest models that roll off the production line, plus other driver assistance features, like parking systems and extra cameras, that make journeys just that little bit easier.
While Ford might be a brand known and loved for affordable and reliable cars, there’s a sidebar of seriously punchy vehicles, too. Look out for the ST line that elevates the brand’s hatchbacks and everyday runarounds into something more powerful.
There’s a world of choice of Ford cars to hire on Turo, from feisty hot hatches to spacious people carriers in a rainbow of colours in pickup locations up and down the UK. Renting a Ford car represents unbeatable value, and when you want something smart and safe to get you from A to B, a Ford Fiesta or a Ford Focus are the ideal places to start your search on Turo.
Compact SUVs may have overshadowed family hatchbacks over the past few years, but the Ford Focus still holds its own when it comes to family appeal. After all, it's got plenty of room for passengers, and it’s a pleasure to drive — plus, many models have nice-to-have extras like reverse cameras, blind spot warning lights, and heated seats.
The small, simple, stylish supermini, the Ford Fiesta, has been reimagined countless times over the years since it first hit UK roads in the 1970s. The latest model features a digital dashboard and better-than-ever fuel economy, but even if you opt for a legacy version, you know you’re in for a decent driving experience when you rent a Ford Fiesta.
Ford’s comfortable and sensible seven-seater Galaxy is one of the UK’s favourite MPVs. It’s not hard to see why. It’s supremely practical with a cavernous interior. You can easily fold away unused rows to create unbeatable boot space, with any extra weight effortlessly accommodated with excellent power and torque.
