From Quebec — Jean Lesage International Airport, take Autoroute 540 east toward Quebec city centre, which connects directly to downtown via Boulevard Wilfrid-Hamel. The route passes through Sainte-Foy before reaching Old Quebec and the historic district. Having your own rental car provides flexibility to explore Quebec's charming neighbourhoods and attractions at your own pace.
You don't need personal insurance coverage to book a car on Turo. If you do have your own auto insurance policy, the protection plan you select — purchased from Economical Insurance Company in Alberta, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Quebec, and Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) in British Columbia — will supplement your existing coverage.*
In Quebec, you must drive on the right side of the road and stop completely at red lights before turning right where permitted. Quebec drivers are required to have valid insurance and registration documents in their rental car at all times.
Quebec does not have toll roads around Quebec — Jean Lesage International Airport or throughout the Quebec city region. Most major highways and city streets in Quebec are free to use, making car rental convenient for exploring the area. The main routes connecting the airport to downtown Quebec and surrounding areas are all toll-free.
Renting a car at Quebec — Jean Lesage International Airport gives you freedom to explore Quebec city's historic sites, nearby Montmorency Falls, and the scenic Charlevoix region. Public transit serves downtown Quebec well, but having your own rental car opens up access to rural attractions and allows spontaneous stops along the St. Lawrence River. Consider your itinerary and whether you plan to venture beyond the city centre when deciding on car hire needs.

With each plan, you're covered with liability insurance purchased from Economical Insurance Company in Alberta, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Quebec, and Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) in British Columbia — $2,000,000 for all plans.
Some hosts offer unlimited distance for a trip; others set a daily distance limit — you'll need to check on each rental car individually to see if this service is provided. On the vehicle pages, you'll see the total miles or kilometres you're allowed to drive under the heading "Distance included."
