The rental location was just a short walk from the cruise port, conveniently located across from the general store, making pickup and drop-off simple and stress-free. The car was clean, reliable, and perfect for exploring the island. We spent the day driving through the lush scenery of the Big Island and visiting the breathtaking Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. Having our own vehicle gave us the freedom to stop whenever we wanted for photos, scenic overlooks, and local attractions. If you’re arriving by cruise ship and want to make the most of your time in Hilo, I highly recommend renting a car here. It was one of the highlights of our trip and allowed us to experience so much more of the island than we could have otherwise. We would definitely rent from them again on our next visit! 🌋🚗 A fantastic way to see the Big Island in just one day!

Car ran very smooth even came with some extra beach things and a handmade travel guide. I was also able to pick up 2 days early. Would definitely rent again!!
Great host. Very friendly and understanding. . Car is not in perfect condition, but honestly, it was less stressful to rent this car because I wasn’t so worried about ruining a brand new car with scratches or dings and dents. It drove well, had AC, and he even has a booklet with lots of recommendations of things to do and places to eat around Oahu. I would rent from Jeremy again.

The quality of the car was superb, smooth to drive, did well on fuel, clean exterior and interior, strategic window tinting - it truly reduced the interior heat and made it comfortable to drive. Brian was timely and efficient with communication and delivery of the car. Rental price was competitive with commercial companies and other Turo rentals. I would rent again from Brian.

Had to rent a vehicle super last minute for a work trip, and I was so grateful to find this one! Communication was great, the car was clean, and it was amazing on gas. Even though it’s a little older, this Honda Civic is honestly the perfect Kona cruiser. It got us everywhere we needed to go, and as someone from Kona, I really don’t love rental cars or vehicles that totally stick out. This one was perfect for getting around Kona town without feeling flashy or out of place. I also messed up the return time, and the host was incredibly kind and accommodating. They quickly walked me through how to extend the trip and made the whole thing so easy. 10/10 would absolutely recommend renting from them.

Great experience renting this Honda Civic from Moum. The car was clean, smooth, and a joy to drive. I booked quite late, but Moum was very prompt and responsive throughout the whole process. Pickup was straightforward and communication was excellent. Everything was easy and seamless. Highly recommend and would happily rent again!
If you see the automatic review below saying the host cancelled the trip, I want to explain what actually happened. I made a mistake with my booking, and Jin cancelled the reservation so I could get my refund and rebook the car correctly. She absolutely didn’t have to do that. She could have kept the non-refundable payment and moved on, but instead she went out of her way to help me fix the situation, even though it resulted in the automatic cancellation message below. That kind of integrity is rare and exactly the type of person I want to do business with. The car itself was great, everything worked perfectly, and the trip went smoothly. But more importantly, Jin is spectacular and someone I recommend renting from.

When booking a car in Australia, you'll choose between the Premier (if available), Standard, and Minimum protection plans. Each plan includes varying limits on financial responsibility for damage to a host's vehicle. All trips include up to $20,000,000 (per event) in legal liability protection. Legal liability protection protects against damage to other people's property and death or bodily injury (where the legal liability is not covered or capable of being covered by any statutory or compulsory scheme) as a result of an accident involving the vehicle. All protection is provided by Turo Travels Mutual.*
