Overall, the van served our trip well and the host was responsive and helpful. Pick up location was easy to find and reach .Registration number of the van we got is 1HIXO18 .Picking up the Van and dropping off the Van and key in an early hour was smooth and easy .
However, there were a few issues with the vehicle’s condition at pick-up. One tyre appeared noticeably low on air when we collected the van, although the host arranged for it to be inflated. There were also some stains on the floor and seats, and one of the door handles felt loose/wobbly. These issues didn’t stop us from using the vehicle, but they did affect the overall presentation and confidence at pick-up.
The other concern was the cost of hiring child safety seats. We were charged $150 GST for two child seats, which seemed excessive given that similar seats can be purchased brand new from Kmart for around $49 each.
Overall, the van was functional and suited our trip, but some attention to vehicle condition and a review of the child seat pricing would improve the experience for future renters.
