Avoid this host. Arrived to find he refused my digital ID despite completing verification the day before, causing a 2-hour delay. He then disclosed the van needed engine oil and the fuel light was on despite a full tank — red flags I should have acted on.
At 400km out, the DPF, check engine, and traction control lights all came on. The van went into limp mode, turning a 6-hour trip into 12. A mechanic later confirmed the oil was still low and the DPF had never been serviced. This vehicle had no business being on the road.

I’m sorry the trip did not meet your expectations. Turo AU requires hosts to verify a valid physical driver’s licence before vehicle release. Digital licences aren’t accepted for this process, which caused the additional check-in time.
The vehicle was operating normally at handover. DPF instructions are provided in the glovebox if a warning appears during a trip. The statement that the vehicle had “never been serviced” is incorrect. All our vehicles are maintained at highest standard.
