Your rental ute opens up possibilities for exploring both urban attractions and natural escapes that define this dynamic region.

Truck was a pleasure to drive. We had to rent while our truck was in shop. Wanted to use a local rather than car rental companies. The truck was super Clean and comfortable. Great communication with host. Would definitely rent again.

The truck was exactly what we needed for our trip. It reliably got us to all the places we wanted to visit, and it was especially convenient for transporting the bicycle for the Ironman race. Communication throughout the rental process was excellent—clear, prompt, and easy to follow. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended.
Amazing host. Fast replies and extremely flexible. Best bang for your buck when it comes to a car/truck to rent.
Great car! Diana was a pleasure to communicate with - quick and responsive. Worth the reservation for sure
The truck was in great condition, pick-up and drop-off were easier than any rental agency, customer service was outstanding!
The truck was easy to find, it was nice and clean and ran smooth the whole trip thank you for letting me and my ohana rent you vehicle
Best host ever in 2 years of switching from enterprise to Turo for business and leisure trips! Recommend to Al!
I had 0 issues with my rental. The pick up and drop off was super convenient. Truck was clean and comfortable. Tj was very responsive when I had any questions.

Hey it’s a Chevy. Worked fine no problems. If you have an issue it’s with the manufacturer not the rental service. If I could go back I would get a lifted Tacoma. lol just to fit in. Other than that great vehicle great service would rent again.

Easy in and out, great truck for island adventures. We will rent it his truck again!

If you want to blend in with the locals and have the perfect vehicle to go beach or just cruise this is the one. The truck is in very good condition and has an upgraded sound system that you will definitely enjoy. Ted has fast responses to any questions and he makes everything convenient for the renter, as far as pick up and drop off. Rent this truck. You will not be disappointed!!!!

Awesome car and host communicated well. Will definitely look for this truck again when I need a rental. Mahalo!

North Parramatta offers heritage walks through Old Government House, riverside cycling along the Parramatta River, and shopping at Westfield Parramatta. You can explore the historic Experiment Farm Cottage, enjoy family picnics at Parramatta Park, or venture to nearby Blacktown for additional cultural experiences. Having a hired ute lets you easily navigate between these scattered attractions and discover hidden gems throughout the greater Parramatta region at your own pace.
This UNESCO World Heritage site showcases Australia's colonial history with original Georgian architecture and landscaped grounds. You'll find ample parking available within Parramatta Park, making it convenient to explore both the historic house and surrounding parklands. The location sits centrally in Parramatta, easily accessible via major roads from North Parramatta and surrounding suburbs.
This major shopping destination features hundreds of stores, dining options, and entertainment facilities including cinema complexes. The centre provides extensive parking facilities across multiple levels, accommodating various vehicle sizes including utes and larger rental utes. You can combine shopping with exploring nearby Church Street's historic precinct and riverside dining options.
The river foreshore offers scenic walking and cycling paths stretching from Parramatta to Sydney Harbour, with multiple access points and parking areas. You'll discover picnic spots, playgrounds, and heritage markers along the route, perfect for family outings or peaceful retreats. Your ute provides convenient transport for bikes, picnic supplies, and outdoor equipment to maximise your riverside experience.
By plane: Fly into Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport, then drive approximately 45 kilometres west via the M4 Motorway. By train: Take the T1 Western Line directly to North Parramatta Station from Sydney Central or other major stations. Book your ute hire early on Turo to secure the best ute options for your Sydney adventures and weekend getaways. Look for vehicles with features like all-wheel drive for Blue Mountains excursions, keyless entry for convenience, and pet-friendly options if travelling with animals. Consider utes with backup cameras and blind spot warnings for navigating busy Parramatta traffic and tight parking spaces around shopping centres.
North Parramatta's growing residential areas and commercial districts make ute rental essential for moving furniture, transporting building materials, or handling large shopping trips. The suburb's proximity to major retail centres and trade suppliers means you'll frequently encounter situations where a regular car simply won't suffice for cargo capacity. A rental ute provides the perfect solution for both practical tasks around Parramatta and weekend adventures throughout Sydney's diverse landscapes.
Utes sit higher than standard vehicles, giving you better visibility of traffic conditions around Sydney but requiring more careful attention when parking in tight spaces. The rear tray affects weight distribution, so acceleration and braking feel different compared to a Toyota sedan or similar passenger vehicle. Steering requires slightly more effort, particularly when navigating busy areas like Blacktown or central Parramatta during peak hours.
Use your mirrors extensively when reversing, as the elevated driving position can create blind spots that don't exist in smaller vehicles. Practise reversing in open areas around North Parramatta before attempting tight parking spaces near shopping centres or residential streets. The extended length means allowing extra space when turning corners, especially in busy areas like Blacktown where pedestrian traffic is common.
Place heavier items directly over the rear axle and secure everything with tie-downs or cargo nets to prevent shifting during Sydney's stop-start traffic. Distribute weight evenly across the tray rather than loading everything to one side, which affects handling on curved roads throughout the Parramatta region. Keep the load as low as possible to maintain the vehicle's centre of gravity, particularly important when navigating hills around the greater Sydney area.
Contemporary utes include electronic stability control and multiple airbags, providing protection comparable to passenger vehicles while maintaining truck-like capability. Many models feature reversing cameras and parking sensors, invaluable when manoeuvring around North Parramatta's residential streets or busy commercial areas. Advanced braking systems help manage the increased stopping distance that comes with a heavier vehicle, especially useful in Sydney's varied traffic conditions.
The Blue Mountains offer excellent ute-friendly destinations with scenic lookouts and picnic areas where you can utilise the cargo space for camping gear or outdoor equipment. Coastal areas south of Sydney provide beautiful drives where a ute's elevated position enhances ocean views while offering space for beach equipment and supplies. Rural areas west of Blacktown showcase New South Wales countryside, with many locations featuring unsealed car parks where a ute's ground clearance proves advantageous.
Some hosts offer unlimited distance for a trip; others set a daily distance limit — you'll need to check on each rental car individually to see if this service is provided. On the vehicle pages, you'll see the total miles or kilometres you're allowed to drive under the heading "Distance included." You can find cars offering unlimited mileage with every trip by using the "Unlimited distance" filter.
You don't need personal insurance coverage to book a car on Turo.
When booking a car in Australia, you'll choose between the Premier (if available), Standard, and Minimum protection plans. Each plan includes varying limits on financial responsibility for damage to a host's vehicle. All trips include up to $20,000,000 (per event) in legal liability protection. Legal liability protection protects against damage to other people's property and death or bodily injury (where the legal liability is not covered or capable of being covered by any statutory or compulsory scheme) as a result of an accident involving the vehicle. All protection is provided by Turo Travels Mutual.*
Yes there is — whether you want to rent a car for three days, three months, or even longer, you can on Turo. You'll find discounted prices on bookings lasting 3+, 7+, or 30+ days, so you can get the best deals and lowest rates possible by booking longer trips.
* Any personal insurance you may have that covers damage to the host’s vehicle would kick in before your protection plan. Review the Guest Product Disclosure Statement for more information.
