Toyota Highlander 2015

We come to Oahu quite a bit, and this rental worked out perfectly for our family. We were moving our daughter out of her dorm for the summer, so having a comfortable SUV with plenty of storage space in the back made a huge difference. It handled luggage, boxes, and beach gear easily without everyone feeling cramped. The vehicle itself was clean, well-maintained, comfortable, and very easy to drive around the island. Whether we were running errands in town or spending the day exploring different parts of Oahu, it was reliable and enjoyable the entire trip. Compared to the major rental companies where even tiny cars can cost a fortune in Hawaii, this was a much better value. We’ve also used Hui before, but if you’re out exploring for more than a couple hours, the cost adds up fast. Having this vehicle available the whole trip gave us way more flexibility and convenience without the stress. Would absolutely rent again next time we’re on the island. Highly recommend!

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2021

I will give a 5 star because the host was nice how ever the address that’s posted on the app for pick up and drop off are not where you will be picking up and dropping off. No clear instructions language barrier may have been the issue. I had to pick up the car at the airport parking structure which was a bit difficult specially if you’re not familiar wasn’t hard after I figure it out but price and everything else was fine. Would be nice to know where you are dropping off and picking up car ahead of reservation

Jeep Wrangler 4xe 2023

Jeep Wrangler was perfect. Lots of extra details like phone mount on dash, phone charger, cooler. It was the perfect vehicle for a family drive on road to Hana. There are lots of jeep rentals on Maui, but John Mark's jeep is the best because of the power top and because it sips gas. Gas isn't cheap on Maui and our round trip to Hana only cost $22 in gas. We also encountered rain on our journey, and with the push of a button we were dry. Most jeep rentals through the rental companies are hard top which kind of defeats the purpose of renting one. Pickup was easy, price was right, and owner was great. I can't imagine there is a better rental on the island.

Jeep Wrangler 2026

Allow me to set the scene, I had a free rental through a popular rental car chain but decided to take the road less traveled and grab a vehicle on Turo for this trip. Besides coming to Hawaii, this was the best decision I’ve made. Burak was very kind and helpful through this experience and the ride was amazing! It was a decision of a bigger vehicle or convertible, but a convertible with three other adults just seemed cramped. Well this 2026 Jeep Wrangler gave us space and an automatic retracting roof. Push a button and it does the work. The speakers switched to overhead automatically so we could still vibe. Going through the canyon with that open to hit north shore was a perfect moment. I even extended by a day and Burak quickly approved. I would definitely rent another vehicle through him for future trips.

When driving in Wollongong's varied climate, certain ute features prove invaluable. All-wheel drive is essential for tackling wet roads during rainy periods, providing enhanced traction and stability. Advanced climate control systems are beneficial for managing humidity and sudden temperature changes common in this coastal area. Look for utes with good visibility and responsive wipers to handle unexpected showers. For summer drives, UV-protected windows and efficient air conditioning are crucial. Some utes offer terrain management systems, which can be helpful when transitioning from city streets to beachside tracks. Lastly, ample ground clearance is advantageous for navigating flooded areas during heavy rains, ensuring your Wollongong adventures remain uninterrupted regardless of the weather.

Be mindful of pedestrians and cyclists, especially around the bustling Crown Street Mall area. Take advantage of your higher seating position for better visibility, but always check your blind spots carefully. Practise reversing and three-point turns in less congested areas before attempting them in the city centre. Lastly, allow extra time for your journey to reduce stress and ensure safe manoeuvring through Wollongong's streets.

How do you choose the right ute for a family trip to the Illawarra region?

Selecting the ideal ute for an Illawarra family adventure involves considering several factors. Lastly, opt for a model with entertainment systems to keep younger passengers engaged during drives, ensuring a smoother, more enjoyable family experience exploring the diverse Illawarra landscape.

Consider utes with advanced traction control systems for navigating steeper inclines safely. Fuel efficiency is crucial for extended explorations, so diesel options could be ideal. Ample cargo space is essential for carrying hiking gear and camping equipment. Panoramic sunroofs or large windows enhance the experience, allowing passengers to fully appreciate the Blue Mountains' stunning vistas. Ultimately, choose a ute that balances off-road capability with on-road comfort for the best adventure experience.
