While driving back to Sydney from the Hunter Valley, our windscreen wipers failed. They turned on but did not clear the glass, making visibility even worse. Driving in heavy rain on a 110 km/h highway with children in the car was incredibly dangerous and terrifying. We had to pull over multiple times, extending a 2.5-hour trip into a 3.5-hour nightmare. Although our initial experience was great, the safety failure made the drive home a complete nightmare.
