I don’t know how they have a high rating. If I could choose zero stars, I would. Multiple issues with this one. Booked to pick up the car at the airport. The host’s wife picked us up with their daughter and drove us to a location 5 minutes away where they jumped into their car and gave us the keys to the rental. Absolutely unprofessional and awkward. The bookings says “your host will instruct you how to pick the vehicle up”. Upon calling him on arrival, I asked numerous times on the phone where the car is and never got clear instructions that the wife would pick us up - also, the booking was to PICK THE CAR UP FROM THE AIRPORT. I requested a baby seat for my 2 month old. The car had an old worn out booster seat in it. He said “that’s just what we put in the car for all guests”. Both the host and his wife tried to turn the blame on me “you didn’t tell us what you needed”. But when having a booking for a child safety seat, why assume it’s a booster for every rental? The wife then drove out to Smithfield to retrieve a baby seat. Came back 30 minutes later with an old, unsanitary baby seat that my son would not have been able to fit in as there was no newborn insert. Upon voicing my concerns of my child’s safety, the response was along the lines of “others put their baby in this, our babies used it”. What was suppose to be a happy, joyful holiday for my 30th and introducing my baby to my family, started off a very stressful 2 hours trying to make other plans and figure out what to do next. This host is nothing short of deceptive. It may be a cheap rental, but pay that little bit more for something more reliable, safe and professional.
Thanks for u a response after all the help that we provide you with u a family, never mentioned anything about u need a car seet for 3 months old, u just requested a car seat, text me and asked me how to cancel the trip before even starting, yes we pick all our customers from airport and hand over the car for the customers, that's the service we provide our customers.
