Very nice car and a great host .

Disappointing experience with Jack and Vie’s Nissan X-Trail.

We were disappointed with the “airport pick-up” service. Since we paid the extra fee, we genuinely expected to collect the car at Brisbane Airport. Instead, the hosts ordered us an Uber to pick up the vehicle right in the city centre. The whole point of paying this extra fee was to save time and avoid going into the city.

The same happened for the return. Even though the drop-off location was closer to the airport, it still required extra organisation, changing vehicles and dealing with an Uber. Maybe this is common on Turo, but future guests should know that this is not a true airport pick-up/drop-off service.

On top of that, the return address was actually a private business parking lot. We parked where instructed, only to be confronted by employees taking pictures of the car and telling us we were not allowed to park there. The instructions were really unclear, and honestly this is not the kind of situation you want to deal with when trying to catch a flight, especially after paying extra for convenience.

The hosts also use a remote car unlocking system which seems to cause issues. One morning, the battery was completely dead even though we had not left any lights on. We informed the hosts, but never received any response.

More generally, the vehicle itself needs maintenance before being rented again. The car sometimes locks and unlocks itself while driving (likely related to the remote access system), there is a loud noise coming from the rear wheel bearing while driving, the rear right window does not close properly, and one of the rear tyres was significantly more worn than the other, which could become unsafe on wet roads.

Overall, this rental mainly caused stress and wasted time, despite us paying extra for a smoother experience. The hosts’ communication and organisation clearly need improvement, as does the overall condition of the vehicle.

Such a great car to use and host were amazing!

AC is not working while the car is moving and the light was dim. the rest is okay

Host is really nice, but the AC of the car is not good.
