The car was in great condition, clean, and perfect for a family trip. We had a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Host doesn’t park the car at the airport - charges a delivery fee to circle the 10min drop off area. Had to wait for him to return - felt like poor service.
No USB ports in the car, and the infotainment system is all in Japanese, rendering it unusable for Australian roads.
There are 2 cameras in either corner of the dashboard facing the passenger and driver - in Australia, you are not allowed to record others without their permission. I would’ve liked to have known there were cameras in the car before hiring, as this is not common across rental cars in Australia.
Host was very pushy in messaging before we arrived at the airport to return the car - dampened our trip. Lots to improve.

We’re surprised by this feedback, as you collected the vehicle early and told us everything was perfect at departure. We provide airport delivery, not airport parking/pickup, and require 30 minutes’ notice for return so staff can meet you and bring the car back.
The vehicle is a Japanese import; infotainment is in English, with only the built-in map showing Japan. The cameras are disconnected and do not record.
Our messages were to coordinate the return, not pressure you.
Car was very neat and clean. Very well maintained. DYD Car Rentals team was very helpful and provided all details beforehand which result in very smooth checkin. Highly recommended.

Regarding the front-left door alarm, this is part of the vehicle’s factory security system. We tested the door and found no unusual issue. The windscreen wipers are working properly. During heavy rain, using the A/C or demister helps prevent fogging.
The windscreen may also have had some dust/residue, which can affect clarity. Using washer fluid and lifting the wipers forward can help clean the glass.
