Last minute rental and was able to be accommodated. Very friendly and great communication. Good clean car drives well.

Absolutely loved the car everything was quick and easy relieved a lot of stress traveling to take my child for surgery
The car worked perfectly for what I needed. James was helpful and professional.
Really good car to drive around, very nice renter too! Would get this car again!

Lovely little vehicle! Fantastic mpg, easy check-in/out and responsive host. Very clean!

Nice, clean. Owner was awesome and very understanding to this 1st time user.

Great vehicle. Smooth rental process. Thank you for the great service

Great car for around town! Host was super. Pick up and drop off was a breeze.

Fantastic communication and car location in Billings. Enjoyed the fuel economy and cleanliness of the Prius.
Easy to use, great service. This is the second time we booked and we’ll definitely use again!
Car worked great. Comfy, had Bluetooth connectivity. Would rent again in a heartbeat.

This rental is outstanding. I can't say enough. This is my second trip using spencer's buick, and I absolutely love it. It rides beautifully has plenty of trunk space, and the car wash included by the owner so you can be ready to go is perfect and so easy to use! Ten out of ten would recommend again and again and again!
This was a smooth rental and the way through. Good car, good renter. Would recommend 👍

Renting from Spencer was an excellent experience! He truly went above and beyond to make pickup and return smooth and stress-free. super accommodating the entire time. He responded quickly to messages and even checked in during my trip to make sure everything was going well. Such a kind and thoughtful host! The Buick was phenomenal for my Yellowstone adventure. The gas mileage was incredible, which made a huge difference on longer drives like the Beartooth Highway and the Grand Loop. It handled the winding mountain roads with ease and was very comfortable to drive. Spencer also had thoughtful extras like a cooler and bear spray ready for me, which came in handy and showed how well-prepared he is for guests visiting the park. I would absolutely rent from him again!

Excellent. Absolutely no issues whatsoever. Smooth ride, great gas mileage, responsive owner. Would rent this car or any vehicle from Gene again.

I have rented from Jason a few times and each experience has been great, fast and friendly communication, no issues with the car and easy pickup. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience! The car was dropped off to me right at the front of baggage claim which was so nice. Very grateful!

Rent a car and explore Montana
Montana lives up to its nickname, Big Sky Country, with expansive landscapes that feel almost otherworldly. From the mineral-rich waters of Flathead Lake to the windswept plains near Great Falls, this state offers raw, untouched beauty at every turn. Having a car is essential to explore its sprawling national parks, historic towns, and tucked-away trails — because out here, distance doesn’t matter as much as the drive itself.
Rent the perfect car
Cresting the Continental Divide, Glacier National Park delivers jaw-dropping views with every twist of the Going-to-the-Sun Road. Hike the Highline Trail, catch a glimpse of mountain goats, or visit in late summer when wildflowers paint the valleys in color. The park is over 1,500 square miles, so renting a car makes exploring its alpine lakes, glaciers, and scenic lookouts a smooth driving experience.
Located in Bozeman, the Museum of the Rockies is a treasure trove of fossils, frontier history, and immersive exhibits that appeal to all ages. Its world-class dinosaur collection alone is worth the visit — and there’s good reason why it’s considered one of the best natural history museums in the country. Drive in with ease and take your time exploring; on-site parking makes visiting as relaxed as the pace inside.
Cast into blue-ribbon waters where trout run strong and solitude stretches for miles. The Missouri River is a beloved destination for fly fishing enthusiasts, especially near Craig and Cascade. These remote spots are best reached by car, allowing you to carry your gear, chase hatches along the river, and wrap up the day in a cozy riverside city with no rush to beat the shuttle.

Skip the wait at the counter and step into your trip the moment you land. Bozeman Yellowstone International is Montana’s busiest airport, and Turo hosts make airport handovers smooth, simple, and quick. After landing, head to the Turo-designated spaces in the Carshare Lot to collect your rental car.
Tucked between rivers and mountain ranges, Missoula is a hub for breweries, culture, and spontaneous drives into the wild. Many Turo hosts offer handoffs near hotels, the University of Montana, and residential neighborhoods — a relaxed and flexible way to begin your Montana rent journey.
Perfectly positioned near Flathead Lake and the gateway to Glacier, Kalispell is one of the most convenient Montana car rental locations for nature lovers. Pick up your car in town, then head off toward scenic lookouts, backcountry hikes, and crisp alpine air. With vehicle options suited to every kind of trip, your adventure starts exactly how you want it.
With so much ground to cover and countless vistas that reveal themselves only when you venture beyond the main highways, renting a car in Big Sky Country is essential. These tips will help you navigate locations in Montana with ease, from snowy summits to sunlit plains.
To rent a car on Turo, you must create a Turo account, be 18 years old or older with a valid driver’s license, and get approved to drive on Turo. When you’re booking your first trip, you’ll go through an approval process by entering your driver’s license information by providing a photo of it and some other information. In most cases, you’ll get approved immediately, and you’ll be set for future road trips, business trips, and family vacations!
Driving through Montana feels like driving through a painting, but don’t let the beauty distract you. Major routes like I-90, US-2, and the stunning Beartooth Highway offer sweeping views, but you’ll want to stay alert for sudden weather changes, wildlife crossings, and shifting speed limits. Some highways allow speeds up to 80 mph, while others dip sharply as you pass through small towns.
Winter hits early and hard here, especially in higher elevations around the Rockies and Glacier Country. Roads can stay icy well into spring, so if you’re visiting during the cooler months, a 4WD or AWD is strongly recommended. Before heading out, check local advisories and weather conditions — particularly if you’re planning to drive scenic routes like Going-to-the-Sun Road, which may close due to snow.
Traffic in Montana is light compared to most states, but in cities like Missoula, Billings, and Bozeman, school zones and downtown areas can get busy during peak hours. Plan extra time if you’re navigating through town or heading out for weekend adventures. Remember to check that your Montana car rental is well-suited to the terrain you’re tackling — booking through Turo makes it easy to find the right fit for your route.
Montana does not have any toll roads, so you can explore freely without additional fees along the way.
Montana isn’t built for standing still, and the most unforgettable moments tend to live far from the beaten path. From Great Falls to Flathead Valley, the state’s most awe-inspiring places are separated by hours of open road. Having your own vehicle means you can carve out your route, chase the light, and feel at home behind the wheel.

- Wedding car rental: Stunning venues like The Lodge at Whitefish Lake and Sage Lodge in Pray, MT make Montana a sought-after wedding backdrop. With distances between ceremony and reception often stretching across mountain roads or valleys, renting the right car means you can focus on the moment, not the logistics. - Long-term car rental: Spending the winter in Missoula or the summer hopping between Glacier and Helena? A long-term car rental is perfect for those settling in for a season. Many hosts offer discounts for multi-week bookings, giving you freedom without long-term commitment.

- Luxury SUV rental: For scenic drives along the Beartooth Highway or upscale weekends in Whitefish, options like the Range Rover or BMW X5 deliver power and polish.
- Pickup truck rental: Heading into the backcountry or hauling gear to Flathead Lake? A Ford F-150 or Chevy Silverado gives you the strength and space to go where paved roads end.
- Performance car rental: Book a Ford Mustang or Dodge Charger for a spirited drive through sweeping valleys and wide-open routes near Great Falls and beyond.
- Sedan rental: Ideal for city commutes, day trips, or work travel. Choose from reliable models like the Honda Accord or more refined options like the Audi A4.
- Camper van rental: Make your way through Glacier National Park at your own pace. These self-contained setups offer comfort and freedom for multi-day journeys across Big Sky Country.
The cost of car rental in Montana can vary depending on car type, booking length, extras, and delivery. For cheap car rental in Montana, look out for discounts on longer-duration bookings and early bookings.
