The car itself was excellent, comfortable, clean, and great to drive. However, the pickup and drop-off process was disappointing. We were only informed on the day of our booking that the pickup location was not at Gold Coast Airport, which required an Uber to the pick up spot and caused delays returning to the airport. The pickup point was also down a residential alley, which wasn’t ideal. The host did cover the cost of the Ubers, which we appreciated.
We also experienced unnecessary stress on arrival. Despite messaging to advise that we had some delays, and continuing to provide updates, we received a message warning that our trip might be marked as a no-show. That felt unfair and added pressure at an already stressful moment. Communication throughout the process seemed inconsistent, with different team members giving different information. When there was a long wait for an Uber upon return, the suggestion by the host that we ask other customers for a lift to the airport was also quite unreasonable.
Overall, while the vehicle itself was fantastic and performed perfectly for the entire trip, the pickup and drop-off experience needs improvement.

Hiring this Tesla and driving around the Gold Coast (in particular inland to Yarrabilba parkrun and the Tamborine Mountain area) was one of the highlights of our trip.
This car provides an amazing driver experience and the technology is space age.
