Sidewalls of tyres had gashes in them from previous renters curbing the wheels when picked up. 3 hours into the trip got a flat tyre. Host was very helpful with swapping cars to keep me going as I had a very tight schedule but the replacement car was of much lower value and no discount was applied.
Hi Ronald, thanks again for renting with us. You mentioned the tyre damage was present at pickup, however this was not identified in our inspection and is not visible in the pickup photos. If damage was noticed, the correct approach would be to notify us immediately and not proceed, as driving on a damaged tyre is unsafe. Once reported, we acted quickly to provide a replacement vehicle to keep your trip going with minimal disruption to your schedule and overall plans during your trip.

The car is a great fun, sporty little thing. I enjoyed it a lot. The only thing worth mentioning, that it’s about 10 years old, had 180000km on it when I had it and it shows.
There was a little rattling here and there and the interior shows it’s age. The suspension /steering set up need a refresh or adjustment, hopefully something that can be fixed with the upcoming inspection. Otherwise it’s an absolute joy to drive, I really enjoyed it and would recommend to everyone who is looking to drive a convertible!
