Positives - The hosts were very quick to reply
The car itself (despite the condition) got us through the trip and actually ran alright.
Negatives - The car itself is a bit worse for wear inside and out. Reported a squeaking of the brakes on the first journey. The key fob was useless in terms of its buttons and only able to be used for the ignition and door, couldn’t lock/unlock any doors electronically.
Also was told just before picking the car up that it wasn’t to be picked up at the airport and that the hosts would pay for an Uber from airport to where the car was parked. This wasn’t ideal after a 24 hour flight to be looking around for a car, in the dark, with an 8 year old. If this was explained at the time of booking, I probably would have thought twice about booking.
However, in terms of the hosts themselves and the support they gave on the trip, I couldn’t fault it. But the condition of the car and the lack of clarity about pick up has marked it down on this occasion.

The first vehicle had mechanical issues and was not performing as expected for a rental car, but the company did provide a replacement, which we appreciated. However, we were later charged $100 for Uber transfers despite only receiving one Uber ride to the car (because they didn’t have a driver to drop car at airport like they said they would) and returning the vehicle ourselves. When we questioned the charge, we were told ‘well you did receive a free upgrade’. Overall, disappointing due to the poor communication and unexpected fees.
