Car was great but the pick up location was not. Car was meant to be at the airport and was not. This was very disappointing.

Thank you for your review. We provided all check-in details well in advance, with no questions raised until your trip started. We use Uber Central for a smoother process—the car is only an 8-minute ride away.
We’re sorry it didn’t meet your expectations, but we’re disappointed the review ignores the prior communication and blames the host.

Pick-up and drop-off was handled remotely via a lock system, which worked seamlessly. The BMW 228i itself was a pleasure to drive - no mechanical issues whatsoever, and with the roof down it's a fun car. Worth noting there's no wind deflector, so it's best enjoyed on quieter country roads or cruising around town rather than at highway speeds.
A couple of things worth flagging for future renters: the car is not located at the airport, so factor in an Uber ride to the pickup spot (the host did reimburse this, which was appreciated). Also, despite the listing stating no car wash was required, we were asked to clean and vacuum the car before return. A prepaid card was provided for this, but it didn't go through, so I ended up covering it on my own card - the host reimbursed me for this too.
The host was relatively responsive and did make things right when issues came up, which I appreciate. With a bit more consistency between the listing details and the actual expectations, this would easily be a five-star experience.
