I asked to extend the car by one hour as my flight was delayed and was charged an extra $114. The fuel cap was faulty and wouldn’t work so I couldn’t put petrol in the car and when I advised I was unable to fill the car, they still charged me $45 to put $15 worth of fuel in the car. The car was also revving really high when we drove it.

Hi Camille, thanks for the feedback. To clarify a few points for other guests: the trip was extended twice, and both extensions were requested and approved through the Turo app. Extension pricing and any fees are set by Turo, not by me — I'm not able to take payment directly and I don't set those amounts. The car was returned without being refuelled, so I refuelled it and submitted the receipt to Turo for reimbursement; the total charged to you includes Turo's own fees on top of the fuel cost ty

Everything in the car worked well and no issues during the week long trip. Car is advertised as Cairns airport pick up but is actually located outside East-Coast car rentals - a 10-15min tuber ride from the airport. Host assisted by arranging uber to pick up location.
