Great communication. Car drives great but smells like it has been unused in a while.

I had a horrible experience with Turo. The car broke down on the first day, smoking lots after going up a hill. I was advised by the host and roadside assist to keep the car. However, it broke down a second time, spewing coolant and smoking for a very long time. Stanley was very responsive at first but once the car broke down the second time he stopped being as responsive, suggesting I just fill the coolant with water and keep driving, despite me sending him a video depicting the extent of the damage. Turo roadside assist towed the car after 16 hours of me waiting, broken down. After dozens of calls and hours of calling and pestering to Turo customer service, I finally received a refund for the rental. However, I lost heaps of money on accommodation and other expenses on a roadtrip I was never able to complete. I also was never refunded transportation back home after being stranded waiting for the tow truck. I was just visiting Melbourne and had to spend my entire holiday dealing with this issue and nonstop calling and emailing Turo customer service just to be told they would only refund me for the car alone. This was a very frustrating experience and I would not recommend Turo to others. It’s not worth the hassle if something goes wrong. Other car rental agencies are much quicker to respond, and will refund the car, fuel, and more when something like this happens.

Host was very helpful and super responsive. Car was absolutely ideal, no problems whatsoever. Fuel consumption was good - drove to the 12 apostles and back (stopping along the way) on a full tank! The speakers in the car were also very good!! I’d highly recommend using this vehicle. Thank you Stanley :)
