I hired the Supra for a last minute trip along the Great Ocean Road with my wife. It's a great car and was really great inside and out. Comms were good. Collection was easy. I'll be back and I'll look to hire one on the other vehicles they list in the future. Thanks!

I rented a Toyota Supra and was handed the car with pre-existing damage to the front-left tyre sidewall. The sidewall damage was severe: the steel/cord structure was exposed and damaged, the damaged area felt very soft to the touch, and there was minimal sidewall material remaining. This is an extremely dangerous condition for a performance vehicle.
I did not notice the damage at handover because I trusted the rental company to provide a roadworthy and safe vehicle. Tyres are the most critical safety component of any car, and also the easiest and most basic item a rental company should inspect before renting a vehicle out.
Imagine driving on a highway or through mountain roads and having a front tyre fail at speed. A blowout in this condition could easily cause loss of control, a serious accident, or worse. If that had happened, it could have resulted in serious injury or death, and the incident might have been blamed on the driver—without acknowledging that the root cause was a pre-damaged tyre supplied by the rental company.
The company claimed the tyre was “run-flat.” However, a run-flat tyre does not remain safe when its structural integrity is already compromised. I am not willing to risk my life to “test” whether a damaged run-flat tyre will hold or catastrophically fail.
I discovered the damage after one day of driving, which forced me to cancel all remaining bookings and plans, effectively ruining my Australia holiday and wasting my annual leave. And they still ask me to pay the one day rental which had put my life in danger! This vehicle was not roadworthy at the time of rental and should never have been rented out in this condition.
Their customer service response afterward was acceptable, but that does not excuse the situation. Allowing a car to be rented with a tyre in this condition shows either carelessness or a willingness to save a few hundred dollars at the expense of customer safety. In a rental business, safety must always come before profit. This level of negligence—or greed—is unacceptable.
