Good car for this price, economical as well as its hybrid. Drove about 250 miles on two days without any issues at all! Great host too. Would definitely drive this car again :)

I had a fantastic experience renting a car from EVL Rentals. The entire process was smooth and hassle free from start to finish. The vehicle itself was in excellent condition, clean, and drove beautifully, making my journey incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. A special mention goes to Ms. Yamina, who was extremely supportive and helpful throughout both the check-in and check-out process. She made everything easy to understand and ensured that I felt confident and well taken care of. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the service and would highly recommend EVL Rentals to anyone looking for a reliable and pleasant car rental experience and experience the comfort and flexibility of renting while in the United Kingdom.

Superb host, very friendly. Dropped the car to my place, explained all the functions carefully. Car was good, it made our trip smooth and enjoyable.
Car was in excellent condition, as new. The whole trip from pick up to drop off went smoothly and fuss free. My only gripe, which is very minor, was the front seat covers were plastic and not as comfortable as the actual seat. A great little car which I thoroughly enjoyed driving.
Great car. Drives very smoothly. And Deepak is very helpful and coordinates nicely. This was my second time using this car.
The host was very kind and understanding car was very clean and ready I would be coming back
Extremely friendly host and car drives great. We did almost 1000 miles with no issues. The car is also very fuel efficient and spacious. CarPlay connects flawlessly every time. Would definitely recommend and will be back for more rentals.

Daniel was an amazing host throughout the entire experience. His communication was excellent from start to finish, always responding promptly and making everything clear and straightforward. I would highly recommend Daniel to anyone looking to hire. He was professional, reliable, and a pleasure to deal with. Personally, I will definitely be hiring from him again in the near future and look forward to working with him again. Thank you, Daniel, for such a great experience.

Host was amazing, start to finish. This is the second time I’ve used the car and it’s been a great ride, I would highly recommend!!
I had a great experience renting this car through Turo. The car was very reliable and everything worked perfectly throughout the trip. The host had excellent communication, was responsive, and made me feel very welcome from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this rental.

The range leaves a bit to be desired sometimes, but it charges quickly enough when low, and drives well
The car was wonderful and the host Daniel was extremely friendly. Highly recommend.

When booking a car hire in Rickmansworth, consider these tips: Reserve early on Turo to secure the best options. Choose a vehicle that suits local conditions - a compact car is ideal for navigating narrow country lanes, while an SUV might be better for exploring rural areas. Look for extras like GPS navigation to help you explore with ease. Consider opting for a car with a backup camera for easier parking in town. Remember to check for all-wheel drive options if you plan on venturing into more rural areas around Rickmansworth.

This station, located in the heart of the town, offers easy access to hired cars and connects to London via the Metropolitan line. Some Hosts on Turo may also offer delivery to your location, making it even more convenient to start your journey. When searching for a car hire in Rickmansworth, you'll find a diverse selection of vehicles, from compact cars perfect for navigating narrow streets to spacious SUVs ideal for exploring the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside. Remember to communicate with your Host on Turo about specific pickup arrangements and any special requirements you may have for your rental car.
Rickmansworth offers delightful driving routes to explore the picturesque Hertfordshire countryside. Consider a scenic drive through the Chiltern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The winding roads near the Grand Union Canal provide charming views of narrowboats and lush greenery. For a leisurely journey, take the country lanes towards Sarratt and Chorleywood, where you'll encounter quaint villages and rolling hills. If you're driving a Mercedes or SUV, you'll appreciate the comfort on these rural roads. Remember to adjust your speed on narrow lanes and keep an eye out for cyclists and horse riders sharing the road.
Navigating parking in Rickmansworth town centre during busy periods requires some local knowledge. The High Street offers limited on-street parking, so it's best to arrive early to secure a spot. For longer stays, consider using the multi-storey car park at Northway, which usually has ample space. If you're driving a larger vehicle like a van or SUV, the Three Rivers House car park might be more suitable. During peak shopping hours, the car park near Waitrose can get quite full, so have alternative options in mind. Always check parking restrictions and time limits, as they vary throughout the town. Consider using a compact car like a Mini or Ford for easier manoeuvring in tight spaces.
For exploring the narrow lanes and rural areas near Rickmansworth, compact and nimble cars are ideal. A Mini or a small Ford would be perfect for navigating the winding country roads. These cars offer excellent manoeuvrability, making it easier to pass oncoming traffic on single-track lanes. If you prefer more space without compromising on agility, consider a mid-sized SUV like a Toyota RAV4. For those seeking a balance of comfort and practicality, a Mercedes A-Class or BMW 1 Series would be suitable choices. These vehicles provide a smooth ride on both paved and slightly rougher rural roads while still being manageable on narrow lanes.
Drivers in Rickmansworth have several reliable options for refuelling. The Shell petrol station on Uxbridge Road is conveniently located and often has competitive prices. For those exploring the outskirts, the BP station on the A412 towards Denham is a good choice. If you're driving a more fuel-efficient car like a Toyota hybrid, you might want to plan your refuelling stops less frequently. Remember that petrol stations can be fewer in rural areas, so it's wise to keep your tank at least half full when venturing into the countryside. Some supermarkets in the area, such as Tesco, also offer fuel at their larger stores, which can be a cost-effective option for budget-conscious travellers.
When driving from Rickmansworth to nearby towns or cities, you'll be pleased to know that there are generally no tolls to worry about. The road network around Hertfordshire is toll-free, allowing for seamless travel in your chosen vehicle, be it a Mercedes, BMW, or any other car. However, if your journey takes you towards London, be aware of the Congestion Charge and Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) in central London. These aren't traditional tolls but are charges for entering specific areas of the capital. If you're planning a trip to London, consider using a low-emission vehicle or plan your route to avoid these zones if possible.
Driving safely on rural backroads in Hertfordshire requires extra caution. Always adhere to speed limits, which can change frequently on country lanes. Be prepared for unexpected bends and limited visibility – a SUV's higher vantage point can be advantageous here. Watch out for wildlife, especially at dawn and dusk. When encountering oncoming traffic on narrow roads, use passing places and be patient. Keep your headlights clean and use them in poor visibility. If you're in a larger vehicle like a van, take extra care on tight turns. Lastly, maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front, as sudden stops can occur due to animals or agricultural vehicles. Remember, rural driving often means being prepared for various road conditions.
Preparing for various weather conditions when driving in Rickmansworth and surrounding areas is essential for a safe journey. In rainy conditions, common in the UK, ensure your car's windscreen wipers and tyres are in good condition. If you're driving a Mercedes or BMW, they often come with advanced traction control systems, which can be helpful on wet roads. During winter, be prepared for occasional frosty mornings by having an ice scraper handy. Fog can be common in low-lying areas, so familiarise yourself with your vehicle's fog light controls. In summer, sunglasses can be useful for glare. Regardless of the season, it's always wise to check the weather forecast before setting out and adjust your driving style accordingly.
Near Rickmansworth, you'll find several scenic areas perfect for breaks during long drives. The Aquadrome is a lovely spot with lakes and green spaces, ideal for stretching your legs. If you're in a spacious vehicle like an SUV or van, you might enjoy a picnic at Rickmansworth Park. For a touch of history, consider stopping at Chenies Manor House, where you can admire beautiful gardens. The Chess Valley provides picturesque views and walking trails if you need a longer break. If you're driving a luxury car like a Mercedes or BMW, you might appreciate the ambiance of The Café in the Park for a refined rest stop. Remember to park considerately and enjoy the natural beauty of Hertfordshire during your journey.
