Pickup was quick and Ag brought the car to the airport for us! The car was clean, smelled so nice and was perfect to drive. We also loved the radio station it was set to haha. We did a fair amount of driving and didn't even have to fill up a full tank's worth because the car was so good on fuel! Next time I'm in Cairns this will be my only car rental option. Thank you Ag!!
Car was great. This was my 2nd trip to Cairns and once again Jacob was an awesome host Great communication. This was my 2nd trip to cairns with Jacob as my car provider. Couldn’t fault the whole experience. Really easy to deal with and he was very accomodating with my requests. Pick up was a breeze. Will be visiting cairns again for the festival at the end of August and will be seeking out Jacob’s listings in particular. Thanks again.

The car was in great condition, great on fuel and was in a convenient and easy location. Would definitely rent from him again!
Excellent car rental. Great, fuel efficient little car. Communication was great. The multimedia screen was broken but I was notified and given a discount. All good.
The car was really smooth, very fuel efficient and super easy to drive! We really loved it for our trip to Port Douglas and back! Jacob was extremely helpful as always; communicated frequently and responded immediately, he was always ready to help and the pick up and drop off couldn’t be easier! Highly recommend this car and any others from this host!

Easy pickup and return. Great car for getting around Cairns in. Would definitely rent again
Everything in the car worked well and no issues during the week long trip. Car is advertised as Cairns airport pick up but is actually located outside East-Coast car rentals - a 10-15min tuber ride from the airport. Host assisted by arranging uber to pick up location.
The trip has been great! The car was running perfectly and everything went smoothly. Alex was super attentive and helpful throughout the whole process, which made everything really easy. Really happy with the experience — would definitely recommend! 😊

Great car, very economical, Jacob was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with.

Convenient pick up location within walking distance of lodgings in Central Cairns or Parramatta Park. Pick up location is easy access any time. Car was clean and nice and used fuel efficiently. Nate was responsive and provided nice little touches like charging/data cables, umbrella, etc. Recommended!

Newburgh pairs river views that change throughout the day with historic brick buildings and quiet back roads leading to scenic overlooks. Spend your first afternoon getting oriented: drive along the waterfront, stop on Liberty Street for coffee and local shops, then decide where to head next. It’s an easy base for exploring the mid-Hudson Valley, from art museums in converted factories to river crossings, wooded trails, and relaxed patios perfect for an early evening stop.
Rent the perfect car
The first publicly owned historic site in the nation anchors a neighborhood that mixes history with fresh energy. Park once, wander the museum and stone house, then step out to cafés and small galleries along Liberty Street. Weekends fill quickly near the waterfront; one block uphill is often the quieter play.
Large-scale sculptures spread across open fields and walking paths make this an easy place to explore at your own pace. Arrive early for cooler temperatures and simpler parking, then plan a picnic with views of the grounds. If you’re visiting with kids, choose a shorter loop and plan a snack break—the size of the park can easily fill most of the day.
Across the bridge, a former factory now houses one of the region’s leading modern and contemporary art museums. The galleries are well suited to an unhurried afternoon, and the surrounding town is an easy place to linger for coffee, shops, or a late meal. Pair it with a walk down Main Street and a sunset pause on the riverfront. Sometimes it's the simplest plans that make the best days.
Navigating Newburgh is easiest when you think like a local: set your pickup near the airport, use the highways to hop between river towns, and time your returns around bridge traffic and dinner reservations. Keep reading for insider tips on how to maximize your time with a rental car in Newburgh.
With Turo, you'll pick up your rental car near Stewart Airport, not inside the terminal complex. After your trip is confirmed, your reservation details in the Turo app show a nearby meeting point with clear directions. No lines, just keys and a map to get you on the road quickly.
Before you wrap up your rental period, message in the app to confirm the same location or another nearby spot for the rental car return. Once you've completed the hand-off, all that's left to do is head back to the airport to catch your departing flight.
Stewart International Airport is a short hop from Newburgh — roughly three to five miles to the riverfront. The trip will often only take ten to fifteen minutes, depending on lights and bridge traffic. That proximity is why picking up your rental car near Stewart International Airport works so well.
City streets sit in the 25 to 30 mph range, with higher limits on Route 300 and NY-17K. The Thruway and I-84 move fast when clear and can slow a little when it rains. Keep it hands-free, watch for pedestrians near Liberty Street, and give yourself some time before and after rush hour.
Waterfront lots are the obvious choice and the first to fill. If you’re circling, pivot uphill toward Liberty Street, where side-street parking often opens up and the walk is short. For gallery nights or weekend brunch, arrive early, reward yourself with a coffee or tea, and your spot will feel like it was meant to be.
Yes. The New York State Thruway and several Hudson River crossings use cashless tolling. Check your route if you’re heading to Beacon, Poughkeepsie, or down toward the Palisades. The timing and direction of tolls vary depending on the bridge. Build in a few minutes for the crossing and you’ll have no problem keep your day on track.
Fuel is easy along Route 300 and NY-17K, and at larger retail centers on the way into town. For EVs, look to hotel lots, newer shopping centers, and across the river in Beacon for faster options. The simplest plan is to top off near dinner so you start the morning with a full tank.
If you plan to stay on the waterfront and stroll Liberty Street, you can make a weekend work without wheels. If your map includes Storm King, Dia Beacon, and a few other detours, a car turns the Hudson Valley into your backyard.
Wondering what types of rental cars you can find in Newburgh? Expect a variety across vehicle classes, from city-friendly sedans to premium luxury SUVs. Local favorites include Hyundai Sonata, Ford Bronco, and Audi Q5.
