The host was excellent throughout the whole process. Communication was very good, he was friendly and easy to deal with, and he made the whole car rental process simple and stress-free. Everything was straightforward from start to finish, and I would definitely rent from him again.

Great and easy car rental! Will definitely rent it again, Edith was great!

Car was great , great price for a central prick up and Pauline was a great host

The car was in excellent condition and super clean and well presented. Vivek was amiable, friendly and responsive. I needed to change the pick up time and then during the journey, the drop off time, and it wasn't any problem to get a response. Highly recommend the car and the courteous service!

Great experience! The drive was super smooth, and the Golf can easily manage about 143 miles on a single charge without any issues. Charging was completely hassle-free. Alhajie was incredibly helpful and lent us a Type 2 cable, which is great for cheaper charging (takes about 3-5 hours). If you are in a rush, just plug it into a fast charger for 40 minutes and you are good to go. Quick tip for future renters: If you want to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, make sure to bring your own data cable. The cables provided in the car are for charging only. The car does show some signs of wear and tear both inside and out, but it didn't bother us at all. Everything was awesome! Highly recommended.

Mo was professional and was a quick and efficient rental process. Thank you will be using again. If needed in future.
Moh was incredibly accommodating and was happy to deliver and pick up the car directly to and from my address. Communication was nice and simple and the ride was smooth!
I had the car rental experience with Mirza! He was very communicative and fast in responding to any queries, the car drives very well and it’s also fuel efficient. Pick up and drop off process was very easy and straightforward, the host is also very kind and friendly. Definitely best price rate and car rental experience you would have (especially with automatic car!)

I was surprisingly impressed with this car rental experience. Overall, I was really happy with the experience and would definitely rent again.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Micah was friendly, professional, and had great communication throughout the trip. The Audi A3 was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. Pickup and drop-off were quick and easy, making the whole process hassle-free. I’d definitely rent from Micah again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable host and a great car.

Roy and the rest of the team at esco was very helpful and accommodating, this is one of the best if not the best rental I’ve taken out on Turo. Highly recommend, car was clean, good drive and the host was highly responsive

We had a great trip with Ibraheem’s car. The car was clean and working perfectly. We enjoyed the ac in the hot weather. Would rent again and highly recommend.

The car was excellent for our trip to the coast. It was clean, comfortable, and drove perfectly. Nazia was very friendly and helpful. She gave us clear instructions about the car and made the whole process easy. We had a great experience and would happily rent from her again.

Fantastic car and an even better rental experience! It was spotless, clearly well looked after, and had loads of space for everything I needed. Everything worked exactly as it should, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend this host and this car. I would rent again without hesitation!

When booking a car rental in Islington, consider reserving early on Turo for the best selection. Choose a compact car for easy city navigation or opt for a larger vehicle if planning trips outside London. Look for extras like GPS navigation to help with London's complex road system. Consider a vehicle with parking sensors, as spaces can be tight in Islington. Be aware of the congestion charge when driving in central London. Lastly, select a car that suits your needs, whether it's fuel efficiency for city driving or comfort for longer journeys.
Islington offers several convenient pickup locations for car rentals, making it easy for guests to begin their London adventure. The Angel tube station area is a popular spot, with its central location and excellent transport links. Highbury & Islington station is another prime pickup point, situated in the heart of Islington. For those seeking a car in a bustling area, Upper Street provides numerous options near shops and restaurants. The Business Design Centre on Upper Street is also a recognisable landmark for car pickup. Additionally, Essex Road station offers a quieter alternative for guests looking to avoid the main thoroughfares. These Islington car rental locations ensure that guests can easily access their vehicles and start exploring the diverse neighbourhoods and attractions of London with ease.
Islington offers several charming driving routes for a scenic excursion. Consider exploring the picturesque countryside of Hertfordshire, just north of London. The winding roads through quaint villages and rolling hills provide a delightful contrast to city life. Alternatively, head east towards Epping Forest for a green escape. The forest's leafy lanes and scenic viewpoints make for a refreshing drive. If you prefer coastal views, venture south-east to the Essex coast, where you can enjoy seaside towns and stunning coastal roads. Remember to check your vehicle's condition before embarking on longer journeys, and always adhere to local traffic regulations for a safe and enjoyable trip from Islington.
Navigating central London during peak hours can be challenging, but with proper preparation, it's manageable. Familiarise yourself with London's Congestion Charge zone and plan your route accordingly. Consider using navigation apps that provide real-time traffic updates to avoid the busiest areas. When possible, plan your journeys outside of rush hours, typically 7-9 AM and 4-7 PM. In Islington and surrounding areas, be aware of bus lanes and cycle superhighways. Practice patience and allow extra time for your journey. If you're new to driving in London, consider starting with shorter trips to build confidence. Remember, London's extensive public transport system can be a useful alternative for some inner-city journeys, allowing you to park your hired car and avoid the busiest spots.
For exploring Islington and its surroundings, compact or mid-size cars are often ideal. These vehicles offer a good balance of manoeuvrability for navigating London's narrow streets and comfort for longer drives. If you're planning to venture into the countryside, a small SUV might be a good choice, providing extra space and better handling on rural roads. For city-focused trips, consider an electric or hybrid vehicle to take advantage of London's growing network of charging points and potential exemptions from certain charges. Whatever type you choose, ensure it has good fuel efficiency for economical city driving. Remember to select a car that suits your specific needs, whether that's extra boot space for shopping trips or advanced safety features for peace of mind in busy traffic.
Parking in Islington requires attention to local regulations. The borough operates a Controlled Parking Zone system, with restrictions varying by area. Most residential streets have designated parking bays for permit holders and pay-and-display spaces for visitors. Always check nearby signs for specific rules and time limits. Islington offers some public car parks, but they can be pricey. Consider using smartphone apps for convenient payment and to extend your parking time if needed. Be aware of yellow lines indicating no parking or loading restrictions. Some areas have electric vehicle charging bays, which are becoming increasingly common. Remember that parking rules are strictly enforced in Islington, so always ensure you're parked legally to avoid fines. Planning ahead and researching your destination's parking options can save time and stress during your visit.
When driving from Islington to other parts of Greater London, be aware of the Congestion Charge and Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). While these aren't traditional tolls, they function similarly. The Congestion Charge applies to central London on weekdays and weekends, excluding Christmas Day. The ULEZ operates 24/7, covering most of Greater London. Check if your vehicle meets ULEZ standards to avoid charges. Additionally, when venturing east, be mindful of the Dartford Crossing toll if your journey takes you beyond the M25. It's advisable to familiarise yourself with these charges and plan your route accordingly. Remember, these fees are subject to change, so always verify current information before your journey from Islington to ensure a smooth and cost-effective trip.
Islington and its surrounding areas offer several reliable options for refuelling your vehicle. You'll find petrol stations along major roads and near busy intersections. Some well-known supermarkets in the area also offer fuel at competitive prices. When driving in Islington, keep an eye out for fuel stations on main thoroughfares like Upper Street or Essex Road. It's wise to refuel before your tank gets too low, as petrol stations can be less frequent in some residential areas. Many stations now offer contactless payment for convenience. If you're planning a longer journey outside of Islington, consider topping up before leaving the city. Remember to check your car's fuel type before refuelling to ensure you're using the correct pump.
Driving in Islington's urban streets differs significantly from rural backroads in Greater London. In Islington, expect narrower lanes, more frequent traffic lights, and a higher volume of pedestrians and cyclists. You'll need to be extra vigilant of bus lanes and one-way systems. Parking can be challenging and often restricted. In contrast, rural backroads in Greater London offer a more relaxed driving experience with wider lanes and less traffic. However, these roads may lack street lighting and have unexpected bends or wildlife. Urban driving in Islington requires constant attention to speed limits and road signs, while rural driving demands more awareness of your surroundings and potential hazards like blind corners. Always adjust your driving style to suit the environment, whether navigating Islington's bustling streets or enjoying the scenic countryside of Greater London.
Preparing for Islington's weather conditions is crucial for safe and comfortable driving. In winter, be ready for occasional frosty mornings and ensure your car has proper antifreeze and winter tyres if necessary. Rainy conditions are common year-round, so check your windscreen wipers and tyres for good tread depth. During summer heatwaves, ensure your vehicle's air conditioning is functioning well. Always carry a bottle of water and sunglasses for sunny days. Fog can occur in autumn and spring, so familiarise yourself with your fog lights. Regardless of the season, it's wise to keep a small emergency kit in your car, including a torch and a warm blanket. Before setting off, check the local weather forecast and plan your journey accordingly. Remember, Islington's weather can be unpredictable, so be prepared to adapt your driving style to changing conditions.
