Great affordable car for a weekend away. Taneesh and his father were very kind and easy to deal with, Taneesh made sure the ac was fixed before our trip which I was very grateful for with it being so hot! The car struggled a bit with hills and makes some slightly concerning ‘clunking’ noises at times, but otherwise ran smoothly and is really fuel efficient!

How can drivers navigate peak hour traffic in Greater London efficiently?

Navigating peak hour traffic in Greater London requires strategic planning. Utilise real-time traffic apps to stay informed about congestion and roadworks. When driving in Cricklewood, familiarise yourself with alternative routes that bypass major arteries like the A5 Edgware Road during rush hours. Using public transport for part of your journey and then driving from a less congested area can be an efficient option. In central London, be aware of the Congestion Charge zone. Opting for electric or hybrid vehicles can provide access to certain bus lanes, potentially reducing travel time. Remember, patience and flexibility are key when dealing with London's traffic.

Electric vehicles are becoming increasingly popular and can be a great option, with the added benefit of avoiding certain charges in London's low emission zones. For families or groups, a larger car or van might be more suitable. Whatever your choice, ensure it's comfortable for city driving and parking, as Cricklewood's urban setting can present challenges for oversized vehicles.

In colder months, frost can be common, so allow extra time to defrost windows if necessary. While snow is rare in Cricklewood, it can cause disruption when it does occur, so check weather forecasts regularly. In summer, be aware that bright sunlight can cause glare, particularly during early morning or late afternoon drives. Always carry sunglasses and use your vehicle's sun visors. The Congestion Charge applies in central areas, which isn't a concern in Cricklewood. Central London also has more one-way streets and bus lanes to navigate.
