The car was in terrible shape. Driver’s seat was torn and cooling seat not working. Check engine light was on and a warning message recommended immediate oil change

“Oil change required” does not mean “low oil light” nor does it mean “recommended immediate oil change”.. It simply means the oil life is running low and should be replaced within the next week or two.
