Great car!

My experience renting from this host was not a very good experience for me and felt uncomfortable overall.

The sunroof was inoperable, and this was not disclosed until after payment was made and I was outside of the 24-hour window to receive a refund or choose another vehicle. At a minimum, that information should have been shared right away so I could make an informed decision.

Communication around pickup could have been clearer as well. I was not told exactly where the vehicle would be parked, and I had to circle back to locate it. There were also things that felt excessive, such as a gas receipt being left on the passenger seat to show the car had been filled, even though the fuel expectations were already stated.

I also received a message about an hour before return asking if I was still bringing the car back at the scheduled time. Since I had not requested an extension through Turo, that felt unnecessary and added to the feeling of being micromanaged.

After the trip, I was honest about a minor rear scuff once it was brought to my attention. However, I clearly stated there was no collision or impact. Despite that, a claim was submitted including additional concerns such as misalignment, scratches, and collision-related damage that I did not cause. Turo reviewed everything and determined that only the minor rear scuff was related to my trip.

I am not trying to bash anyone’s business, but I do feel renters should be mindful. If you rent this vehicle, document everything from start to finish and be very careful with photos and communication. I take responsibility for what happened during my trip, but I do not agree with being blamed for inaccurate or unrelated damage.
