Whether you're cruising along the Royal Mile, embarking on a countryside adventure, or attending a special event, a vintage vehicle adds a touch of nostalgia and elegance to your Edinburgh experience.
My wife and I rented for our wedding anniversary weekend and had a great time! Oszkar was nice and helped us when we needed it. Definitely recommend!

We used this car for our wedding get away, the host was amazing and very easy to work with. The car ran great all weekend without any issues, was spotless when we picked it up and ready for photos. It was perfect for our special day! Would highly recommend this car for special occasions, or a fun weekend.

Tom was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. The Mercury Comet was beautiful, in amazing condition, and made my daughter’s prom night feel perfect. The pictures turned out incredible and this was truly the highlight of her experience because this was the one thing she really wanted. Tom was kind, professional, communicative, and made the entire process smooth and stress free. One thing I really appreciated was the detailed video he sent ahead of time showing us how to operate the vehicle. Since it’s a 1963 classic car and we aren’t familiar with older vehicles, that extra touch meant so much and helped us feel fully prepared and comfortable. You can tell he genuinely cares about his renters and takes pride in his vehicle. We are so grateful he’s on Turo and we will definitely be renting from him again. Highly recommend.

Very easy pickup and drop off. Was a perfect way to end our wedding. Would definitely rent through them again.

A unique opportunity to rent the ICONIC Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 that was imported from the Japanese market. The steering wheel is on the right side, so you’ll be shifting the 4-speed manual with your left hand. This dijon mustard Land Cruiser will get attention EVERYWHERE you go. The little diesel isn’t fast, so plan ahead and stick to the slow lane. What a joy to experience something most people have no access to. I will rent this again! Jonathan made the rental very easy and walked me through the features of the vehicle.
True 1986 driving experience! Glad the weather was in the 70s during my trip. Truly a car you rent if you’re trying to experience LA in a classic, manual, bare-bones car; I loved it. So nostalgic.

I rented Shawn’s 1966 Ford Mustang for my wedding, and it was an absolute dream! The car was in immaculate condition, well-maintained, and drove beautifully—an iconic classic that turned heads everywhere I went. Shawn was a fantastic host, providing clear communication, flexible pickup and drop-off, and a genuine passion for his car. He ensured the entire experience was seamless and enjoyable. If you're looking for a classic car rental that delivers both nostalgia and performance, this Mustang is the perfect choice. Highly recommend renting from Shawn—I'll definitely be back for another ride soon!
Car was absolutely amazing. We used it for our wedding and the photos turned out amazing. Was a great way to see the city. Huge thanks to Shawn for making the process so easy.
This is an amazingly fun automobile - but - do not rent it unless you're OK getting your photo taken. We were mobbed by photographers in Monaco, Eze and Cap Ferrat - the combination of the car and my stunningly beautiful wife. Arthur was tremendously helpful. Thank you! It's just terrific memories made.
Everything was perfect. Gracious hosts. I showed up a few minutes early and saw Dieter cleaning the glass in anticipation. Would not hesitate to rent from them again.
The car was absolutely awesome and so much fun to drive. The whole process of getting it from them was seamless and they showed me how everything works and I will definitely rent that car again.

Car looks Amazing. Everything works. We rent it for photography and it exceeded our expectations. Incredible experience. It was my girlfriend’s dream to drive old Mustang and perfect moment for me, to ask here for a hand 😅. Host was really helpful and friendly. We had a little chat with him and he seemed to be nice person. Definitely recommend him and his car.

Beautiful car! Runs great and wonderfully restored. Don’t rent it if you don’t want to turn heads and get compliments everywhere you go. Easy pick up and drop off. Definitely recommend.

Great ride with zero issues! Hadil was a great host and would recommend! Thanks again for the great weekend experience!
Awesome! Great service! Very pleased. Will rent it again. No doubt.

This car became my entire personality during my trip to LA. It ran beautifully and turned every head. Oszcar, the owner was a joy to work with as well

Brian was an excellent host, very responsive to any needs or issues. The car was phenomenal, I would absolutely rent it again any time. Thank you!

Wonderful experience. Barry was kind, professional, and flexible throughout the entire rental process. I will definitely rent from him again. Awesome person, awesome cars.

When renting a classic car in Edinburgh, book well in advance, especially during peak tourist seasons or major events like the Edinburgh Festival. Choose a model that suits your itinerary - perhaps a convertible for countryside drives or a luxury saloon for city tours. Consider the Scottish weather and opt for a vehicle with a retractable roof. Familiarise yourself with the car's quirks and handling before setting off. Park in secure, well-lit areas, and be mindful of narrow streets in the Old Town. Lastly, plan your route to include scenic drives like the Pentland Hills or East Lothian coast to make the most of your classic car rental experience.

The historic Old Town area, near Edinburgh Castle, is another prime location to start your journey in a classic Mercedes-Benz or Porsche. Remember to clarify pickup details with your host on Turo and ensure you're familiar with the vehicle before embarking on your exploration of Scotland's breathtaking landscapes.
Classic car enthusiasts visiting Edinburgh can immerse themselves in the vibrant automotive culture by connecting with local clubs. Edinburgh's Classic Car Club welcomes visitors to their monthly gatherings, where you can admire pristine Jaguars and Aston Martins. A classic Mercedes-Benz W123 estate combines elegance with functionality, ideal for exploring the city and its surroundings. For a touch of British charm, the Morris Minor Traveller offers a unique family experience with its wooden-framed rear. If you're after something sportier, a vintage Jaguar XJ6 provides a luxurious ride while accommodating the whole family. Remember to choose a model that suits Edinburgh's varied terrain and weather conditions for a smooth, enjoyable trip when hiring a classic car.
When driving a classic car hire in Edinburgh, be prepared for the city's changeable weather. For rainy days, ensure your vintage vehicle's wipers are in good condition and consider applying a water-repellent treatment to the windscreen. Cold starts can be challenging for classic cars, so allow extra time for the engine to warm up gradually. Carry a set of jump leads as a precaution. In colder months, using a block heater can help ease the strain on the engine. For convertibles like classic Jaguars or Porsches, always have a waterproof cover handy. Regularly check tyre pressure and tread depth to maintain optimal grip on wet roads. Lastly, familiarise yourself with the car's heating system to ensure a comfortable journey in Edinburgh's cooler climate.
When selecting a classic car rental for Edinburgh's historic streets, consider the vehicle's size and manoeuvrability. Narrow lanes in areas like the Old Town favour compact models such as the Mini Cooper or Austin-Healey Sprite. Opt for cars with good visibility, like the Morgan 4/4, to navigate the city's bustling traffic. Edinburgh's hilly terrain calls for a vehicle with reliable brakes and a robust engine — perhaps a classic Jaguar or Aston Martin. Consider the car's fuel efficiency, as petrol stations in the city centre can be sparse. Lastly, choose a model that complements Edinburgh's architectural beauty; a vintage Rover or Mercedes-Benz can add to the city's timeless charm while providing a comfortable ride through its cobbled streets.
Incorporating a classic car hire into a wedding photoshoot in Edinburgh can create timeless memories. Choose a vintage vehicle that complements your wedding theme, such as an elegant Rolls-Royce or a charming Austin-Healey. The majestic Edinburgh Castle provides a stunning backdrop for photos with a classic Jaguar or Aston Martin. Capture the romance of the Royal Mile by posing with a vintage Mercedes-Benz against the historic architecture. For a touch of nature, head to the picturesque Holyrood Park, where a classic Porsche can add a dash of sophistication to the rugged landscape. Don't forget Arthur's Seat for panoramic city views — a perfect setting for showcasing both the classic rental car and Edinburgh's skyline. Always respect local parking regulations and obtain any necessary permissions for photoshoots at popular landmarks.
Driving a classic car rental in Edinburgh requires adaptation to different handling characteristics. Expect heavier steering, especially in models without power steering, like some vintage Jaguars or Aston Martins. This demands more effort, particularly when navigating Edinburgh's winding streets or parking. Braking distances are often longer in classic cars, so maintain a safe distance from other vehicles. The suspension in vintage vehicles like classic Mercedes or Rovers may feel softer, resulting in more body roll around corners. Gear changes in manual classics, common in cars from the 60s and 70s, might require a more deliberate touch. Be prepared for less responsive acceleration compared to modern cars, especially when climbing Edinburgh's steep hills. Familiarise yourself with the vehicle's quirks before venturing into busy areas like Princes Street or the Royal Mile.
Edinburgh's rich architectural heritage is beautifully complemented by classic cars from the 1950s and 1960s. This era of automobiles, with their elegant curves and chrome details, harmonises wonderfully with the city's Georgian and Victorian architecture. A sleek Jaguar E-Type or an Aston Martin DB5 would look stunning against the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle or the Royal Mile. For a touch of British charm, consider a classic Mini Cooper, perfectly suited to navigate the narrow closes of the Old Town. The timeless design of a vintage Mercedes-Benz 300SL would complement the neoclassical buildings of New Town. These classic car hires not only enhance the visual experience but also provide a nostalgic journey through Edinburgh's historic streets, creating a perfect blend of automotive and architectural beauty.
