If you're visiting Tampa, I highly recommend her green BMW 4 Series Convertible.
Great rental, fair price and the updates and instructions were very thorough and helpful
The price was excellent for what we got, and the Jeep itself was spotless, low mileage, and super comfortable for our family of four.
Even though the car is nothing to crazy performance wise was still a very fun car and definitely worth the asking price
Deane was a great host, delivering the car on time in great condition and he was flexible on the reservation drop off time.
However, while the car does have a sun pass, I believe it would be a courtesy for the rental cost to cover the tolls (at least up to a certain amount) rather than billing customers after the fact a few days later.
Drives great and the owner provides detailed instructions on the convertible top - so helpful!
We fully enjoyed our rental of Joel's Mustang, it definitely set off our Christmas vacation!
Picking up the car at the airport was better than going through a big rental company.

When packing for a convertible rental trip in Tampa, efficient use of trunk space is crucial. Opt for soft-sided luggage or duffel bags that can be easily molded to fit the available space. Utilize packing cubes to organize smaller items and maximize space efficiency. Consider wearing your bulkiest items, like jackets or shoes, to save room in your luggage. For beach trips, pack multi-purpose items like sarongs that can serve as beach towels and cover-ups. Don't forget to leave some space for souvenirs or local purchases you might make during your Tampa adventure.
When parking your convertible rental in Tampa's busy areas, always opt for secure, well-lit parking facilities whenever possible. If street parking is unavoidable, choose spots in high-traffic areas with good visibility. Always lock your vehicle and activate any security systems. For storing valuables, use the trunk or glove compartment, ensuring items are out of sight before reaching your destination. Consider bringing a small, lockable container for additional security. In popular tourist spots or beach areas, it's wise to only bring essential items and leave valuables in your accommodation's safe. Stay vigilant and trust your instincts when selecting parking locations in Tampa.
Navigating a convertible rental through Tampa's urban traffic requires extra attention. In busy areas like downtown or Ybor City, be aware of your vehicle's wider turning radius and longer body. Use your mirrors frequently, especially when changing lanes or parallel parking. On narrow streets, take it slow and be cautious of pedestrians and cyclists. In stop-and-go traffic, keep a safe distance from the vehicle ahead to avoid potential fender benders. When possible, plan your route in advance to avoid the most congested areas during peak hours. Remember, driving a convertible rental in Tampa can be a fun experience, but always prioritize safety and awareness of your surroundings.
When planning a convertible rental trip in Tampa, weather plays a crucial role. Florida's sunshine is abundant, but sudden afternoon thunderstorms are common, especially during summer months. Always check the forecast before heading out and be prepared to quickly close the top if needed. Consider planning outdoor activities for mornings when the weather is typically more stable. UV rays can be intense, so apply sunscreen generously, even on cloudy days. During hurricane season (June to November), stay informed about potential weather warnings. In winter, while Tampa remains mild, occasional cool fronts might necessitate a light jacket for open-top driving. Regardless of the season, keep a weather app handy for real-time updates during your Tampa adventure.
For a comfortable drive along Florida's Gulf Coast in a convertible rental, several features are key. Look for a vehicle with excellent air conditioning for when the top is up, and effective wind deflectors for open-air driving. A user-friendly, quick-operating convertible top is essential for sudden weather changes. Comfortable, supportive seats are crucial for longer drives along the coast. Consider a model with UV-resistant upholstery to withstand the intense Florida sun. A good infotainment system with GPS navigation can enhance your journey, while ample cup holders are handy for staying hydrated. Lastly, a convertible rental with good fuel efficiency will allow you to explore more of Tampa and the beautiful Gulf Coast without frequent fuel stops.
Protecting yourself from sun exposure is crucial during convertible rental drives in Tampa's sunny climate. Always apply a high-SPF, broad-spectrum sunscreen to exposed skin, reapplying every two hours or after swimming. Wear UV-blocking sunglasses to protect your eyes and reduce glare. A wide-brimmed hat can provide additional face and neck protection. Consider wearing lightweight, long-sleeved shirts and pants made from UV-protective fabrics for extended sun protection. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout your drive. If possible, plan longer drives during early morning or late afternoon when UV rays are less intense. Remember, even on cloudy days, UV rays can be strong, so maintain these protective measures throughout your Tampa convertible rental adventure.
Operating a convertible rental roof safely in Tampa's changeable weather requires attention to detail. Always park in a clear area before operating the roof to avoid obstacles. For soft tops, ensure the fabric is free from debris before closing to prevent damage. In case of sudden rain, find a safe spot to pull over and close the top. Never operate the roof while driving. For hardtops, be mindful of wind conditions when opening or closing. Regularly clean and maintain the roof mechanism to ensure smooth operation. In hot weather, allow the interior to cool before lowering the roof to prevent damage to the material. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for your specific convertible rental model to enjoy safe, trouble-free drives around Tampa.
