MINI Hardtop 2 Door 2017

Hear me out till the end as I would recommend this car to the right person, but I have to start with the cons first. Car had usual wear and tear from 116k miles of use on a 9 year old vehicle. Few things were broken, namely the infotainment had a black circle on it that was disclosed right before pickup. Sun roof does not operate, but is mentioned in the listing. Car is quite noisy, likely needs a rear wheel bearing or two. Also just plastic rattles and creaks you'd expect with a 9 year old Mini Cooper. Car also had 3 different tire compounds which was interesting, but all tires were in good condition so overall not a huge issue. The rearview mirror does also tend to have trouble staying still. Also be ready to expect all the usual BMW type of quirks like the turn signal operation and windshield wipers. Car is small as well, so just plan for it. Wife and I brought 1 checked bag (40-50lbs) which slotted neatly into the trunk cavity and two personal bags which fit the back seat. That's about all the room we had, so definitely plan for that! Now for the pros! Firstly the customer service from the owner was great. Always responded to my questions quickly and promptly. A very friendly and understanding person. The host promised to address the concerns I had in regards to the noise and other items I brought up, so this will likely become even more enjoyable of a car to drive. Next, the car itself. This is a damn fun car to drive. A Mini Cooper S handles excellent and is great accelerating into Florida's various speed roads and highways. The car has its quirks like I said, but some of them start to grab you and charm you. Like all the beeps and dings when you first turn it on, the start stop engine toggle switch, and the unique fuel gauge. The infotainment also had plenty of quirks and charm. Overall a very fun experience with the vehicle itself. This brings me to my conclusion. If you don't care about the kind of car you get and are just browsing through, this might not be the car for you. I'd recommend a Toyota Camry or something simple and consistent. This car is for the person or couple who knows what this is, a Mini Cooper S. This is for the person or couple willing to sacrifice a few niceties for a unique driving experience with a special vehicle that has charm at very reasonable price. That is my caveat of "this car is not for everyone". I hope that the small issues brought up are addressed and this car will absolutely continue to be a hit and thrive with ones that allow it a place in their hearts.

Was great. I have rented many vehicles using Turo. This is the first company/vehicle owner that has a cell charging adapter in the car for every type of cell new or older cells. I didn’t check because no one has ever had one so I bought an adapter. Then I saw it came with one. Nice touch I’m certain your customers appreciate. Nice car. Easy in easy out. Great highly recommend.

I had a great experience. The host was kind, helpful and responsive. I had a wonderful trip and I am very appreciative. I was visiting my 94 year old grandma who was tickled by an electric car. She asked me how the cord doesn’t get tangled, I said grandma you unplug it! She looked very concerned and womansplained “My love, that’s not how electricity works”. She was very happy I had a small Jesus in “my magic car” to keep me safe. I have no complaints! This was a great car at a great price. The car is a little older with higher mileage which is why I imagine it undercuts others on price; it’s in great condition considering those two things. It was well maintained and I’m happy to know that these cars last; I have a 2023 and this car was every bit as good. It did make me wish I had gotten the dual motor version, it’s a surprisingly nice upgrade, no one told me the sound system was so much better in the dual motor cars. I encourage you to rent this car, it’s only as quick as you want it to be so don’t let that deter you. If you’re familiar with Tesla’s you know how convenient the features are. If you’re not, they aren’t hard to figure out. You’ll probably want one after your trip.
