My first foray into Turo was met with anticipation and excitement; little did I know it would also be my last.
You can tell that Andrey's team did not check the car. When I took it off the lot, the front wheel tire was significantly low (31-33), while the other three were 40-44. I could not get the convertible hard top to work. I ignored the aspect of the hard top and just continued to drive the car. After driving the car for 24 hours, the car could not start. I proceeded to troubleshoot by viewing different articles and YouTube videos and asking Andrey for a solution. He mentioned a method I tried where you insert the key and turn it, which was unsuccessful. Therefore, I had to call AAA to come and give me a jump. This process took over an hour, and I wasted my time on a car that was not ready to be rented.
The following day, I asked Andrey if the ability for the roof not to come off might be due to the low battery.
I mentioned the various other problems, such as a low tire, and he said, "Actually, it seems like you just do not know how to operate the vehicle" because I could not get the roof to come off the car.
I mentioned that I had to call AAA to jump the car, and it wasn't a me issue. After his lack of customer service, I called Turo directly to resolve the problem since it seemed that Andrey would not help with his car. I had the car for less than 24 hours and was supposed to drop it off but could not turn it on again. To avoid missing my flight, I had to call the Turo tow truck and take an Uber to the airport.
I would give Andrey 0 stars if I could. He does not service his customers and is rude. The previous night, I was stuck with a dead phone and had to come up with a resolution, and he bashed me for saying that I did not know how to use the car when his car had to be serviced by tow trucks twice within 48 hours.
