Second time renting from Mick - all the same top-class experience! Super easy to communicate, and a very sound man. Will always recommend to anyone who is looking to rent a car.
Really great guy to deal with and what a car, genuinely unbelievable and in great condition, couldn’t recommend more!
Clean car, easy process, great host. I’ve rented multiple times before and would rent again.
Great experience! The car was spotless, freshly cleaned, and even had a phone charging wire and stand, which was super convenient. It drove perfectly, and the pick-up location was easy to access. The host was very responsive and made extending the rental hassle-free. Highly recommend!

Over a recent three-day period, I had the opportunity to drive a 2015 Mercedes-Benz A-Class, a premium hatchback that continues to maintain its appeal in the used and rental markets. As part of the Mercedes-Benz compact lineup, the A-Class is known for blending stylish design with German engineering, and even a decade on, it remains a competitive and desirable option within its class. Design and Exterior From the outset, the A-Class presents itself as a sleek and sophisticated vehicle. The model I drove featured AMG Line styling, with sporty accents, 18-inch alloy wheels, and distinctive LED daytime running lights. Despite being a 2015 model, the car’s design remains contemporary, aided by sharp body lines and a compact yet muscular profile. It is a vehicle that still holds presence on the road and retains the prestige associated with the Mercedes-Benz badge. Interior Quality and Comfort Stepping inside, the A-Class impresses with a well-built and modern interior. The dashboard layout is clean and functional, with quality materials used throughout – including brushed metal finishes and soft-touch plastics. The seats are ergonomically designed, offering good lateral support and comfort over both short and extended journeys. Front passenger space is ample; however, rear seat legroom is limited, which could be a consideration for families or taller passengers. The infotainment system, though slightly dated compared to newer models, is intuitive and well-integrated. Bluetooth connectivity, USB input, and steering wheel-mounted controls provide convenience, while the colour display remains bright and easy to navigate. Climate control, cruise control, and a multi-function display add to the driver-friendly experience. Performance and Driving Dynamics During my time with the A-Class, I drove a diesel-powered A180 variant. The engine delivered sufficient power for daily driving, offering smooth acceleration and refined handling, especially on motorways and well-maintained A-roads. Steering feedback was precise, and the car felt composed in corners, with minimal body roll. The suspension, however, is on the firmer side – particularly noticeable on uneven UK road surfaces – likely due to the sportier AMG setup. Noise insulation was commendable, contributing to a comfortable and relaxed cabin environment even at higher speeds. The automatic transmission performed reliably, offering seamless gear changes and efficient response during city and open-road driving. Fuel Economy and Practicality One of the standout qualities of the A180 diesel is its fuel efficiency. Over the course of the three days, which included mixed driving conditions, I averaged approximately 55 mpg. This level of economy makes it an attractive option for both personal and professional use. Boot space is practical for a compact hatchback, with enough room for daily errands, luggage, or small equipment. Parking sensors and a reversing camera (depending on spec) make urban driving and tight parking situations more manageable. Conclusion Overall, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz A-Class delivers an excellent balance of style, efficiency, and performance. While rear seat space and ride comfort may not suit everyone, the overall driving experience and build quality remain strong points. For those seeking a premium compact vehicle, whether for short-term hire or long-term ownership, the A-Class continues to be a smart and rewarding choice.
