Book the perfect carThe Toyota HiLux is one of Brisbane's most popular pickup trucks, known for its reliable handling and spacious storage design. There are five HiLux variants available in the market today, serving different purposes and at varying price points. For example, the WorkMate is an entry-level vehicle, while the Rogue is a more premium and lifestyle-oriented ute. Luckily, you can hire and try out these different variants of the reliable Toyota HiLux, depending on what you need the vehicle for. For short distances, an entry-level WorkMate may be more suitable, while long trips on the road with a number of passengers may be better experienced in a Rogue or GR-Sport.
Another popular ute or pickup truck in Brisbane is the Ford Ranger. Best known for its high-quality interior and impressive power, the Ford Ranger is a great comfortable vehicle for the everyday. It's perfect for families as well as local Brisbane drivers who want a bit more trunk space. Like the Toyota HiLux, there are several variants of the Ford Ranger, including the XL, XLS, XLT, and Sport. These models differ slightly in power as well as quality of life features such as rain-sensing wipers and front parking sensors. Your perfect model may depend on the types of features you prefer and your rental budget.
If you're looking for a market-leading ute with a fresh exterior and powerful engine, the Isuzu D-Max is the option to go for. Whether in Brisbane City, Brisbane West, South or North Brisbane, you can pick up your ute hire at a location convenient for you. Here are a few popular places around Brisbane to arrange delivery of your ute hire, helping you get your Queensland trip on the road sooner.
Popular suburbs in Brisbane
Brisbane's sprawling suburbs, from Brisbane City to Fortitude Valley, are some of the most popular spots to start your adventure in the Sunshine State. When booking through Turo, you can nominate your preferred ute hire pick up and drop off location, including from popular suburbs such as:
- Ipswich: One of Queensland's oldest provincial suburbs best known for its rich history, colonial architecture and cultural heritage. Ipswich is located 30km south-west of Brisbane CBD, boasting a population of around 250,000 people.
- St Lucia: A riverside suburb in Brisbane, St Lucia is home to the University of Queensland, ancient artifact museums and iconic golf clubs. It's just 7.3km south-east of the Brisbane CBD and is a large residential area for university students.
- Toowong: Another suburb situated beside the Brisbane River, Toowong is a trendy young area known for its thriving nightlife, local universities, and charming cafes and restaurants. It's a short drive from Brisbane CBD and, as a result, is one of the busiest suburbs in the city.
- Woolloongabba: Woolloongabba is a suburb around 3km south-east of the Brisbane CBD and is favoured for its bustling dining scene. It's home to established fine dining restaurants as well as local bistros serving Aussie favourites. The suburb also has a wide array of vintage and thrift stores and of course, is home to the Brisbane Cricket Ground (also known as the Gabba).
- Milton: located just on the outskirts of the Brisbane CBD, Milton is a unique suburb in the city named after the Milton House (1854). It's home to outdoor cafes, top state universities, leading medical facilities and a vibrant nightlife.
- Chermside: Situated 9.8km north of Brisbane CBD, Chermside is a suburb known for having the largest Westfield shopping centre in Australia, filled with hundreds of specialty stores and accessible business centres. It's a transit hub that many Brisbanians drive through while making their way around the city.
Ute hire Brisbane Airport
Are you travelling to Brisbane and need a ute immediately upon arrival? Rest assured, you can hire and pick up a ute straight from Brisbane Airport. Chat with your Turo host at the time of booking to nominate your preferred pickup location, such as from the Brisbane Airport terminal car park.
Whether you're moving house or trialling out your dream ute, Turo's local hosts offer a stack of different ute types to choose from. From 4x4 utes to utes with roof racks, score the wheels you need to tackle whatever your Brisbane trip has in store.
Dual cab ute hire
Looking for a capable, family-friendly vehicle that can carry substantial loads without a hitch? If so, a dual-cab ute is a great option to consider. Not only do dual cab utes have five seats, but they also have extra room in the back to fit all your luggage and cargo. It’s a great, reliable vehicle for family road trips, especially if you need to bring extra travel essentials such as camping gear, portable barbeques, and folding chairs.
Single cab ute hire
Similar to a dual cab ute, a single cab ute has extra storage space suited for long trips on the road. The one main difference is that it only has two doors and no backseat room for passengers, meaning you can only travel with one other person (or by yourself). Luckily, this isn’t a problem for couples or solo road trips and travels.
4x4 ute hire
If you know you’ll travel on rough trails and unpaved roads, a 4x4 ute is a dependable vehicle to consider hiring. A sturdy vehicle that's capable of driving through Brisbane and Queensland's infamous dirt roads, a 4x4 ute is a reliable choice.
Caged ute hire
A caged ute hire is the perfect choice if your luggage and equipment need extra security. Rather than making multiple trips with a small trunk space, a caged rental ute will ensure you can safely transport all your belongings.
Manual and automatic ute hire
No matter what kind of driving transmission you prefer, expect to find utes and commercial vehicles ready to hire in both manual and automatic. This way, you can drive your ute rental as comfortably as possible.
A ute is a useful vehicle for every occasion. Whether for an IKEA shopping trip, a camping adventure or simply moving a mattress, a ute is the perfect vehicle to get the job done. Available for both long and short term hire, there's a Brisbane ute that can suit any rental period you prefer. Simply book with Turo and enjoy your ute hire hassle-free.
If you're considering purchasing a ute for yourself, it's also a good idea to try out and drive a ute hire before you buy.
