What a great car! We rented for a 3-week family trip with 4 adults and a 1-year-old toddler. The car felt safe, reliable and comfortable to drive and to sit in. The child chair was also a superb add-on as it was of a premium quality and in impeccable condition. We really appreciated it! This car even with the 6 seats in use (you can fold the 2 on the very back) offers some good trunk space. For our trip we folded one of the two of the very back and tripled the space. It also has 3 under the floor extremely useful pockets in the trunk! We made the most of the space between the two middle seats to store lots of toddler stuff as it needed to be handy. This car's rop trim is really fully loaded with heated/cooling front seats, heated steering wheel, the always practical sunroof and, for us, the start of all the features: speedometer projector in the windscreen; incredibly practical for boosting the safety and comfort for the driver! The car drove in all sorts of roads in Arlantic Canada, under heavy rain and strong windgust at the beginning of Autumn. It felt always safe on the wheel and the passengers were relaxed in it. The fact that the hostess cares for their customers safety can be noticed in the fact that even in September this car had its Winter tires on, which certainly helped when we found large puddles on the highway. Thank you for that, Doris! We wouldn't hesitate if we had the chance to rent this car again in the future. Even if it was for a couple, as it drives as a standard SUV and doesn't give the impression to be so large inside. Our luggage felt always invisible from the outside as it has tinted windows and curtains. We easily arranged a self-collection and self-drop at the Central Station with clear instructions. We certainly will miss driving this wonderful car. Thank you once again for the adventures it has provided while keeping all of us safe!

This car is great. We rented it for 3 days to explore the Laurentian mountains. It has a superbly spacious trunk that can be made even bigger if no rear passengers. The a/c works very well and the car drives comfortably and safely. We had the chance to meet Sandra when we collected the car and since that moment we understood that the car had been treated with great care as she is very friendly and goes far and beyond to answer our requests and was really flexible for arranging our collection of the car. Furthermore, she was incredibly understanding and supportive when we suffered a long delay due to extremely heavy traffic to get into the city. She kept in constant communication with us. It is a SUPER HOST, completely trust-worthy. If we have the chance to rent again with her, we won't hesitate. If you are looking for a reliable host and a reliable, spacious car these ones are a grest choice.

What documents and paperwork do you need to rent a car on Turo?
To rent a car on Turo in Canada, you must create a Turo account, be 23 years old or older with a valid driver’s license, and get approved to drive on Turo. When you’re booking your first trip, you’ll go through a quick approval process by entering your driver’s license and some other information. In most cases, you’ll get approved immediately, and you’ll be set for future road trips, business trips, and family vacations!
Do I need to be a certain age to rent a car on Turo?
To rent a car on Turo in Canada, you must be 23 or older.
How does car rental insurance work on Turo?
You don’t need personal insurance coverage to book a car on Turo. If you do have your own auto insurance policy, the protection plan you select — purchased from Economical Insurance Company in Alberta, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Quebec, and Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) in British Columbia — will supplement your existing coverage.*

When booking a car on Turo, you’ll choose between three protection plans — Premier, Standard, or Minimum — to get the level of coverage that’s right for you. With each plan, you’re covered with liability insurance purchased from Economical Insurance Company in Alberta, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Quebec, and Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) in British Columbia — $2,000,000 for all plans.
Can I get car rental discounts on Turo?
On your Account page, make sure you’ve checked the box to receive email notifications, and enable push notifications from the Turo app in your phone settings — we’ll send you occasional promotions, discounts, and deals on car rental.
Is there long term car rental on Turo?
Yes there is — whether you want to rent a car for three days, three months, or even longer, you can on Turo. You’ll find discounted prices on bookings lasting 3+, 7+, or 30+ days, so you can get the best deals and lowest rates possible by booking longer trips.
Is there unlimited mileage car rental on Turo?
Some hosts offer unlimited distance for a trip; others set a daily distance limit — you’ll need to check on each rental car individually to see if this service is provided. On the vehicle pages, you’ll see the total miles or kilometres you’re allowed to drive under the heading “Distance included.” You can find cars offering unlimited mileage with every trip by using the “Unlimited distance” filter.
Can other people drive the car that I rented?
Yes, multiple guests can drive the car you rent on Turo, as long as they are all approved to drive. The primary driver (whoever rented the car) can add additional drivers with no fees or additional charges. Only the primary driver can request to add drivers; Turo hosts cannot do it for you. We encourage you to request to add additional drivers before your trip starts, though guests can request to add a driver while a trip is in progress.
To speed up the process, have your additional driver create a Turo account and get approved to drive before you request to add them. All drivers must have a valid driver’s license and meet the age requirements for the car you’ve booked. You can request to add drivers via the “Trips” tab in the Turo app without additional driver charges or extra costs.
What is the cancellation policy for guests on Turo?
You can cancel and get a full refund up to 24 hours before your trip starts, unless you opt to receive a non-refundable trip discount when you book. If you book a trip with less than 24 hours’ notice, you have one hour after booking to cancel free of charge. If you cancel after the free cancellation period ends, you will be charged a cancellation fee.
In the rare event a host cancels, you’ll be notified immediately so you can book another car, or we’ll help you find one. Your refund can be temporarily held to expedite rebooking, or the funds can be returned to your bank account — your choice.
* The guest protection plans offer discretionary protection (protection) issued by Turo Travels Mutual Limited (the Mutual). The plans are offered and distributed on behalf of the Mutual by Turo Australia Pty Ltd and Turo Inc., who are both authorised representatives of Picnic Licensing Pty Ltd (AFSL No 532540). Discretionary risk protection is not insurance. Relevantly, the Board of the Mutual has absolute discretion to accept or reject a member’s claim.
