I’m very pleased with the 2 experiences I’ve had with TURO. There was an approximate additional $100 to the initial quote with fees( not including insurance or extra mileage). I would continue to use this service.

Dodge Charger Daytona 2024

The car was in perfect order and clean. It was fun and had no mechanical issues. However it was the first time renting an all EV and I had a hard time finding a place to charge it in a rural area. EV's charge slowly and I was crunched for time so I had to charge it for 45min just to return it. Other than that the car was nice, the owner was dependable and the Turo app was easy to use and organized

Pickup & return areas at GRB

At Austin Straubel Airport, Turo provides two easy options for rental car pickup and drop-off. Either in person or contactlessly. In-person handoffs are allowed only in two designated spaces within the Short Term Lot. Otherwise, for a contactless drop-off, your host will park the vehicle in either the Short Term or Long Term lots of the International Airport (GRB).

Communicate with your host

For a smooth pickup or return of your rental car, check the Turo app and use in-app messaging to communicate with your host. When arriving at the International Airport (GRB), you can also use the “Share location” feature. It becomes active two hours before your trip starts and remains for the following hour. For in-person exchanges, stay with the rental car until your host arrives. If using contactless pickup, confirm the parking details and follow your host’s instructions for the exact vehicle location.

Parking & airport fees

Austin-Straubel Airport charges a fee for any vehicle rented or delivered, which Turo collects but does not set or keep any part of. If your host asks you to cover parking costs, they're required to disclose this in their rental listing. Always check the listing details carefully to avoid any surprises at the International Airport (GRB).

Thinking about renting a car in Green Bay or directly from Austin-Straubel Airport? Keep these top driving tips in mind and driving advice in mind for a smooth start to your trip.

How does airport pickup work at Austin–Straubel Airport?

For in-person pickup, Austin-Straubel Airport allows handoffs only at two designated spots in the Short Term Lot. Coordinate with your host directly or use the “Share Location” feature on your trip’s ‘Details’ page, available from two hours before to one hour after your trip. How does drop-off work at Austin–Straubel Airport?

For contactless returns at the International Airport (GRB), you can park in either the Short Term or Long Term lot. Just be sure to follow any time limits or lot rules, and don’t return the vehicle more than four hours before your trip ends. Pull a ticket when you enter and leave it inside the car for your host.

Once parked, message your host on the Turo app with the lot section or stall number and leave the keys in the drop box. For in-person drop-off, meet your host at one of the two designated spots in the Short Term lot. Stay with the vehicle until your host arrives, and don’t leave it unattended.

What are the road rules and driving conditions in Green Bay?

Green Bay follows the standard Wisconsin state-driving laws, including speed limits, seat belt requirements, right-of-way, and general road rules. The typical speed limit around the city stays between 25-35 mph, with lower defaults around school zones and parks. On the freeway, this rises to 65mph and 70mph on some rural stretches.

The conditions during the Wisconsin winter can cause driving challenges. From November through March, Green Bay often experiences extreme levels of snow and ice, even a few major snowstorms. Planning your rental vehicle ahead of time to suit the weather conditions is essential, with 4-wheel drives and SUVs being a popular choice during the colder months.

For extra precautions, check the weather forecast, tire tread, mileage, and fuel level. Before a long drive, it’s a good idea to check the traffic on I-43 — it’s the main route between Green Bay and Milwaukee and can get busy.

What is parking like in Green Bay?

Parking in downtown Green Bay is convenient, with a variety of short-term and long-term options available through the city's Parking Division. You'll find plenty of surface lots and metered spaces located throughout the downtown area for your rented vehicle.

However, keep in mind that parking is prohibited on city streets between 3:00 am and 5:00 am. For overnight or extended parking, Green Bay offers three public ramps on Pine Street, Main Street, and Cherry Street, which are open 24/7. Together, these ramps provide multiple parking spaces and offer free parking after 6:00 pm, on weekends, and on holidays. Whether you're renting a car for a weekend trip or a longer stay, knowing your parking options makes exploring Green Bay much easier.

Plus, if you rent an electric vehicle, you can start charging right away at the station located at Jet Air Group’s main hangar at Austin Straubel International Airport (GRB).
