Host wanted an in-person pickup and handoff and review of the car together which for me felt overbearing. Other TURO hosts have been more hands off which worked better for me. We had 5 ppl and 5 large suitcases and found this to be very tight. There are 7 seats but 2 must be sacrificed to accommodate luggage so the car was not as spacious as we had hoped. We requested GPS and paid 50 pounds for it 3 weeks prior to our trip, but Sunil didn’t actually have one. He said it was still in route from AMAZON. He told me to pursue a refund through TURO. The car smelled of cigarettes. A bottle of cologne was provided w a sticker that said ‘feel free to use’. If at a rental company we would have requested a different car, but did not have time to exchange. I did have a mishap while driving and dented the hatchback broke the hatchback glass. I immediately notified Sunil w all details and readily admitted fault. I felt he was unprofessional from that point telling us that he has a high deductible w TURO, is going to miss bookings, etc. I think other TURO owners would have coped better with this situation.

Sunil was readily available before the trip, providing clear instructions for pickup. The car was clean, as described and available to pick up on time. It is literally a stone’s throw from Manchester Airport which really suited us. No issues in car whatsoever except a weaker right front beam. Clear instructions were provided for drop off as well. I would 100 percent recommend Sunil and Carly for a family trip as we travelled with 7 people in the car and still felt spacious and comfortable.
