The pickup location we were sent to was in a slightly rough area and this was intimidating. Unlocking the car was easy, but when we drove on the highway the car began to stutter. The next day the engine light came on, and we had to get a mechanic to come look at the vehicle. He advised that it was not driveable, then Turo sent a tow vehicle to pick up the car.
We were not offered another car, and Turo were very difficult to get hold of during this issue. Holly from IMBD (car owner) did pick up the phone, but wasn't particularly helpful during this issue.

The road where the cars are parked is a built-up residential road, and we have had no issues with this. The car was driving normally before your trip, with no warnings. I apologise for the issue you experienced; this was the first time we had encountered it. Unfortunately, I had no replacement cars to offer. I cannot be responsible for Turo’s availability, but the car was collected and the remainder of your trip refunded. It has since been repaired by a trusted garage and is safe to drive.
Altogether it was a very friendly and smooth experience. For me the car's remote opening website didn't work, but the owner sorted the issue real quick.
The car smelled good, it was fairly clean and even a phone holder prepared to use.
It was easy to find the car.
However the usb didn't really charged my phone. I tried with multiple cables and the best that I get was slower draining of my battery. Pixel 8 pro.
