Avoid this BMW 1 Series completely. This was one of the worst rental experiences I’ve had. I rented it for 3 days and it turned into a complete nightmare from start to finish.

The car was not even properly cleaned before being handed over and had cobwebs outside, which was disgusting and unacceptable for a rental vehicle. The air conditioning also didn’t work at all, which made the journey uncomfortable, but the much bigger issue was the serious coolant leak and constant engine overheating throughout the rental.

I had to repeatedly stop during journeys to top it up with water just to keep the car running and avoid a complete breakdown. This became a genuine health and safety hazard, especially when we were forced to stop multiple times on busy motorways because of overheating warnings. No renter should be put in the position of worrying about being stranded or breaking down in motorway traffic because a vehicle was clearly not maintained properly before being listed.

What made the experience even worse was the owner’s response. After we had already driven nearly two hours away from the pickup location, we were simply told to return the car and take a refund. That was completely impractical and highly inconsiderate given the distance, disruption, and situation we were already dealing with. There was no meaningful attempt to resolve the issue or provide proper support.

The car clearly should never have been listed in this condition. It felt unsafe, poorly maintained, unclean, and unreliable. Instead of enjoying the trip, I spent the entire rental stressed about engine temperatures, warning lights, and whether the car would make it to the next destination. Massive waste of time and money. I would strongly advise others to avoid this listing entirely and would never rent from this host again.
