Still giving 5-stars since it was a great car in great condition with an accommodating host, but I would recommend that the host start allowing guests to utilize the Tesla App to access the car, rather than limiting the guests to using the key card. The convenience of the app is one of the main reasons I almost exclusively rent Teslas while on trips.

I had a great experience renting Alvin’s Tesla. The car was clean, well maintained, and a pleasure to drive throughout my trip. Alvin was very flexible with my plans and made the whole rental process smooth and stress-free. Communication was excellent, and he was accommodating when my schedule changed. I would definitely rent from Alvin again and highly recommend both him and his Tesla to anyone looking for a reliable and enjoyable ride.
The team was super nice and accommodating. Would def rent from them again. Not sure I’d rent a Tesla as too much variation in how good the battery is and how good the tech is. The car was slightly wonky (maybe needs an update as there were a few glitches like the navigation was switching super fast from close up to far away). But the guy who helps you with the car was super decent and could not have been nicer. So five stars for GOOD people!!
Nico is a great car host, one of the best I’ve dealt with. His communication was excellent from start to finish: quick, clear, and genuinely helpful. I would rent any car from Nico without hesitation. I’ve rented a Tesla before from a big fleet operator where you’re basically on your own, picking it up from a random supermarket parking lot in a not-so-great part of Las Vegas. This experience was the complete opposite. Nico made everything easy, personal, and smooth. His Tesla with Full Self-Driving (FSD) should absolutely be your first choice. Honestly, why rent a Tesla if you’re not going to let it do what it’s famous for? The FSD experience made the trip so much more enjoyable and stress-free. The car itself was spotless—freshly washed, super clean—and Nico even delivered and picked it up right at my door. That level of service is hard to beat. And for the small extra cost, we easily made it back in gas savings. If I could give Nico extra stars, I would. Highly recommend.

Tyson was great to rent from. The Tesla was an awesome experience from start to finish. He was such a great help. I had some troubles when we picked up the car. I'm downloading the Tesla app and he was just a gracious host. He was very patient, very kind and very knowledgeable. I'm not very tech-savvy so I give him nothing but 5 stars. He's an awesome host, and I would encourage anybody looking to rent a car to rent for him.

The car was clean, comfortable, and really fun to drive the entire trip. The host was very generous in dropping off the car where I needed to pick it up. He also left it at the location earlier than expected. He sent a video on how to operate a Tesla, which was very helpful because I have never drove an electric vehicle before. I was very impressed and enjoyed my day with it. I do think however this vehicle is better for short distances rather than a long drive. I had to charge up three times in one day driving from Sarasota to Saint Pete to Venice and back to Sarasota. Granted that is quite a stretch, but I felt like three times was a little much which isn’t the host fault at all. I did struggle a little bit latching in my child’s car seat what was able to do so after a little extra effort. I really liked how it drove, how clean it was, the features of the car were lots of fun. I turned my car purple on the Tesla map. I also used the light show feature, which would’ve been a cool party truck had I attended a party lol. Every time I rent a car from Toro, I want to buy that car. The car was great on the highway and ran noticeably better than my own car. Thank you to the host. My baby was also very impressed as he got to look out the sunroof which covered the entire ceiling which made his day a lot more manageable, sitting in a car for an extended period of time.

To book a car on Turo, you must create a Turo account, be 18 years old or older in the US, 21 years old or older in the UK and Australia, 23 years old or older in Canada, have a valid driver’s license, and get approved to drive on Turo. When you’re booking your first trip, you’ll go through a quick approval process by entering your driver’s license and some other information. In most cases, you’ll get approved immediately, and you’ll be set for every future road trip, business trip, and family holiday!

No, you don’t need personal insurance coverage to book a car on Turo.
What protection plan options are available on Turo?
When booking a car on Turo, you’ll choose between three protection plans — Premier, Standard, or Minimum — to get the level of protection that’s right for you.
Is third-party auto liability insurance provided for trips on Turo?
Turo has arranged for third-party auto liability policy to be provided by ERS (Syndicate 218 at Lloyd’s) managed by IQUW Syndicate Management Limited, arranged via Turo’s broker, Lockton Companies LLP — you get unlimited coverage for bodily injury or death to others while coverage for motor third-party property damage is up to £20,000,000.*
Are there discounts on weekly or monthly trips?
Yes, many Turo hosts offer discounted prices when you book trips lasting 3+, 7+, or 30+ days. Additionally, hosts can offer “early bird” discounts for trips booked a week or more in advance. So, get the best deals and lowest rates possible by booking longer trips, at least a week in advance.
How can I drive unlimited miles during my trip on Turo?
Some hosts offer unlimited distance for a trip; others set a daily distance limit. On the vehicle pages, you’ll see the total miles or kilometres you’re allowed to drive under the heading “Distance included.” You can find cars offering unlimited mileage with every trip by using the “Unlimited distance” filter.
What payment methods does Turo accept?
Turo accepts most credit cards issued by major financial institutions, including American Express and Discover cards, as well as debit cards with a Visa or Mastercard logo that are linked to a checking account.
Apple Pay and Google Pay on mobile devices are also accepted, but Turo does not accept cash or checks as valid payment methods.
What is the cancellation policy for guests on Turo?
You can cancel and get a full refund up to 24 hours before your trip starts. If you book a trip with less than 24 hours’ notice, you have one hour after booking to cancel free of charge. If you cancel after the free cancellation period ends, you will be charged a small cancellation fee.

Is Turo a rental car company?
No. Unlike rental car companies, Turo is a peer-to-peer car sharing marketplace where you can book directly from trusted local car owners in the US, Canada, and the UK. Turo does not own any vehicles — Turo hosts share their own personal cars and set their own prices, discounts, vehicle availability, and delivery options.
Is there a fee to add additional drivers to my trip?
There is no fee or additional charge for adding a driver to your trip on Turo. Only the guest who booked the trip (primary driver) can request to add drivers; Turo hosts cannot do it for you. We encourage you to request to add authorized drivers before your trip starts, though guests in the US and Canada can request to add a driver while a trip is in progress with no extra charges.
To speed up the process, have your additional driver create a Turo account and get approved to drive before you request to add them. All drivers must have a valid driver’s license and meet the age requirements for the car you’ve booked. You can request to add drivers via the “Trips” tab in the Turo app without additional driver charges or extra costs.
Are there Teslas available near the airport?
Yes, there are Teslas available on Turo at locations near airports across the UK. To save time and hassle, skip the rental car counter and have your Tesla delivered to you. Set your hotel or the address of your holiday rental as your pickup location, and after arriving at your destination, take a taxi, Uber, Lyft, or shuttle service to the vehicle’s location.

How long does it take to charge a Tesla?

If you need to add lots of range quickly, head to a Tesla Supercharger station, Tesla-exclusive charging infrastructure that’s located in virtually all major markets and is unavailable to other battery-powered vehicles. Superchargers provide Level 3 charging (the fastest kind), which can add 200 miles of range in 15 minutes, and fill any Tesla to full capacity in under 40 minutes. If you plan your journey, mini road trip, or day trip properly, this is the way to go for a seamless experience charging your Tesla over an entire trip.
Typical charging needs can be fulfilled with the more common Level 2 charging, the type used by third-party networks (like ChargePoint and EVgo) for a price, and by any business featuring Tesla’s Destination Chargers.
