1st time using Turo and probably the last.. I didn’t had any issues with the rental until I was stopped by the police and told that after they checked this car registration, that it didn’t had insurance. After few attempts to reach out to Turo and owner, they failed to provide a valid policy.. after explaining the officer the origin of the car, I was allowed to carry on driving after buying a temporary insurance.
Also next day after returning the car, I received an invoice with extra charge for mileage. After making them aware that it was miscalculated it was rectified.
Terrible experience that could send me to court and cost me 6 points on my license ..

We responded promptly, spoke with you and the officer, and provided documents confirming your cover, and you were permitted to continue your journey. The officer did not require temporary insurance; you chose this for extra reassurance and we offered to reimburse it as goodwill. The additional charge was because your trip included 200 miles and you travelled approximately 221 miles.

Everything with the car was great and the pick up and drop off is extremely detailed so you can’t really go wrong.
The car was really nice to drive. My only comment would be that they expect you to take it to a car wash before you drop off and that is quite inconvenient as eats into your booking time and there’s a potential £20 charge if you don’t
