Lovely small car in very good condition. Andy met me as arranged, very helpful explaining different things about the car. Met me as arranged on return. Positive experience. Very pleased

A fantastic little car for exploring Devon, Cornwall, and the surrounding areas. Ideal for narrow country lanes and tight parking spots, it’s easy to drive and very fuel-efficient. Andy went above and beyond with communication and completely reliable for both pick-up and drop-off. Highly recommended.

Thank you Andy, great little car for the small roads around Exeter, we enjoyed our weekend :)
Andy was really helpful and communicative. The car was perfect for what we needed and clean and tidy.
Rent a car and explore Exeter
With Roman roots, Gothic gems, and green spaces that stretch towards the moors, Exeter is a proper mixed bag. Whether you’re here for a guided tour, a weekend holiday, or a coastal road trip to Cornwall, this historic city is a brilliant base to explore the best of southwest England.
Rent the perfect car
Towering over the city with its twin Norman towers, Exeter Cathedral is one of the UK’s most breathtaking medieval churches. Step inside to see the world’s longest uninterrupted Gothic vaulted ceiling — or just loiter outside for a decent photo op and a snack from a nearby café. With a hire car, it’s easy to swing by on your own schedule, rather than waiting around for a guided tour.
Locally known as RAMM, this award-winning museum is stuffed with everything from fine art to zoological oddities. It’s perfect for rainy days or curious minds, and conveniently located near independent shops and restaurants. Park your rental vehicle nearby and dive into a world of history, science, and weirdly specific Victorian taxidermy.
These medieval tunnels under the city centre are a proper hidden gem. Originally built to transport clean drinking water, they now offer eerie (and slightly chilly) guided tours that take you beneath the surface of Exeter’s past. Not your average tourist trap — but a must-see nonetheless, especially if you’re into quirky attractions.

Enjoy a streamlined airport experience
100+ airports across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and France let Turo hosts bring cars to airport parking lots and garages. Some smaller airports even allow curbside pickup at the terminal.*

Liability insurance included
Choose from three protection plans — Premier, Standard, or Minimum — to get the level of protection that’s right for you. Spring for Premier for peace of mind (eligibility requirements apply), or pay less for lighter protection with higher out-of-pocket costs for vehicle damage or theft.*

Relax with support & damage protection
Customer support is always available to answer your questions, and 24/7 roadside assistance is just a call away.

Pickup near or at Airports
New to the area? Here’s your quick guide to navigating Exeter with a hire car.
As in the rest of the UK, you’ll be driving on the left-hand side. Speed limits are clearly marked but do change frequently, especially in rural areas and near schools. Watch for narrow lanes and country roads if you’re venturing into Devon’s quieter corners.
There’s a mix of car parks, on-street parking, and hotel lots across the city. Many areas operate paid parking by the hour, so keep an eye on signage and bring change or download the local parking app. If you’re staying longer, look for hotels with free parking included.
You won’t find any toll roads in Exeter itself, but if your journey takes you further into the UK, it’s good to be aware of occasional toll bridges or motorways. In southwest England, you’re unlikely to encounter any toll roads.
Fuel stations are well spaced across the city and surrounding areas, including main roads and near supermarkets. For electric vehicles, EV chargers are located in city centre car parks, near hotels, and at newer shopping sites — easy to spot and often bookable in advance.
If you’re sticking to the city centre, walking or using public transport may do the job. But for those wanting to explore Dartmoor, visit coastal towns, or enjoy a proper Devon road trip, renting a car in Exeter is the most convenient option. It also gives you the freedom to turn left when you fancy, and not when the train schedule allows.
