Trace the epic Newcastle coastline for ocean-based fun, then get up close and personal with native wildlife.
Australia’s largest ocean pool is a 10-minute drive from Newcastle’s CBD. No matter how many paddlers are swimming in the expansive, Merewether Baths, you’ll have plenty of floating and frolicking room with views out over the rolling waves while staying protected from the swell.
There are more than 10km of walking trails to explore among the 182 hectares of bushland that make up Blackbutt Nature Reserve. It’s free entry into this wildlife wonderland, where you can meet local critters, learn about native flora and fauna at exhibits, and enjoy picnics throughout the grounds.
Nobby’s Beach stretches into the Pacific Ocean with Nobbys Head as Newcastle’s crown. Stroll along the boardwalk that leads to this craggy hill topped by the 150-year-old Nobbys Lighthouse. Continue towards the exhibits at Newcastle Memorial Walk on the full 6km journey along Bathers Way.

Awe-inspiring hiking, caving and horse riding adventures in the Blue Mountains are just over a two-hour drive south of Newcastle. This beloved NSW holiday destination is home to heritage-listed natural environments, historic architecture, and ever-popular pies from local bakeries.

Cole was the best host! He was super communicative and kind. He was very understanding when we accidentally parked the car in a different parking garage than we picked the car up from, oops! The car was perfect with great gas mileage. Thank you, Cole for a wonderful trip!
* Pick up location: the garage next to the massage/spa salon, petite but spacious enough for easy parking when returning * Host: Matthew was easy to communicate, but texting would be better than Turo app messaging for quick response - I had to change my return time two times but he was understandable. The lady there talks kinda fast but overall smooth and quick check in * Car (Chevrolet Spark): For the budget, it was perfect fit! It was spacious enough for two of us, I'm not sure how the back seat would be like. -There's no phone stand, so bring your own -Bluetooth: I tried resetting and everything but didn't work out in the end -Apple Car play: wasn't able to connect well -A/C: needs a little getting use-to, but worked good -The car felt safe and riding okay even through sudden rain shower and the size was really convenient to street park around tight spaces

Thanks 🙏🏼
Great car and great experience. Only complaint is that we had to pay for airport parking because the car was dropped off a day before our arrival time. I assumed because I was communicating my arrival time that the car would get dropped off in that time so we wouldn’t have to pay parking. Not a big deal though just something to keep in mind or double check about before hand. The car was perfect for us and Eric was easy to communicate with 👍

The car was easy to find. Just had to take a cab from the airport about 2 minutes from the airport. Not a big deal. The car worked great for the whole trip. No problems. AC was nice and cold. The car was comfortable and drove well for the whole week.

Perfect vehicle for our stay on the north coast of Oahu. Very clean and tidy, not to mention fuel efficient . We spent a week driving and enjoying Oahu and I only had to fill up 10 gallons, with premium gas, it only cost me $50 for the entire week! Jason had super clear directions that were very helpful in navigating the in- and out- of the parking garage. Couldn't be happier! Thank you!

Great experience!! We had a good, reliable car and friendly and flexible hosts. We were able to take advantage of their affordable parking arrangement in a good location too!
Evs was really great to deal with, and the car drove beautifully. I used it for work this week, and I was surprised with how little fuel it used. It was easy and comfortable to drive. I will definitely borrow it again in the future.

4.5/5 The car was clean, drove smoothly, and pickup was easy. The only downside was the drop-off experience. The location didn’t map exactly to what was listed on Google, so I didn’t see the host when I arrived. He had mentioned both parking the car and that he was waiting, which made it a bit confusing. I took a loop to find parking, and he seemed frustrated that I didn’t meet him directly. Overall still a good experience, just a bit of miscommunication at the end.
Dave was a fantastic host — very friendly, helpful, and easy to deal with throughout the whole trip. He responded to any queries promptly and made the process really smooth from start to finish. He also picked me up promptly from the airport which made arriving in Melbourne much easier, and was very flexible when I needed to change the return date at short notice. The original car I hired had unfortunately been damaged by a previous user, but Dave handled the situation brilliantly and gave me a free upgrade for a week while the Mazda was being repaired, which I really appreciated. The Mazda itself was great fun to drive and served me really well during my six weeks in Melbourne. Dave also gave some great local tips and recommendations which were very helpful as a visitor to the area. Overall, a fantastic experience and I’d definitely recommend Dave to others. I’d happily use him again if I’m back in Melbourne!
Pickup was smooth, owner communicated very well with location of car and return/pickup directions. Car was clean, ran very smooth and had everything we needed on our week long trip.

The pickup location at the airport was very convenient and it was easy to find the car. Both the check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient. The car ran great throughout the trip, and the overall experience was very positive. You do have to pay a $24 parking fee only when exiting the lot from picking up the car. I would gladly rent from them again.

Extremely professional and smooth- I forgot to leave the parking garage ticket in the car AND forgot to refill the gas- but everything on the host’s end was flawless and they were so communicative and helpful. Car was perfect :) highly recommend

Car was amazing! Very fun to drive around the island and very convenient for parking.

Loved the car & the other was so good to work with! We had it for a day trip around the island. He dropped it off to us at our resort & met us at the end of the day. Highly recommend!!
Everything was great with the car! Returning it to the international garage for parking was a bit of a trick! After collecting three blue tickets, we finally got a red one!😂 But the car was great! 😊 Hostess gave good details and directions! 👍
Fabulous zippy car, very clean, full of fuel, very well looked after. Loved having the roof down on a lively autumn weekend. Jack kindly met me at the car as my app wasn't working. Couldn't recommend more highly.
