Brett's vehicle was absolutely PERFECT! Its a beautiful van in great condition! It fit all 8 adults plus luggage and golf bags. Best of all was Brett's customer service. He was helpful and responsive. He even personally picked up the vehicle when the airport locale/ lot was unexpectedly full. We make this trip every other year and we will definitely book with Brett again!

Van was very nice and spacious. The hosts were extremely personable and accommodating, even dropping the rental off at my hotel! Very pleasant transaction!

The van rental was wonderful. The vehicle is in excellent condition it accommodated all of our needs. We were in town for a Volleyball Tournament and this rental was easy and everyone was happy with it. Appreciate Guy for easy and quick communication.

The van suited our needs perfectly, and the host responded promptly and smoothly. We appreciated every aspect of the experience!
Everything worked so seamlessly! We rented the van for the RTO and the host were so great and communicated back fast! Pickup and drop off was straightforward and easy.

Amazing host! Very responsive ! And a returning customer so just love vehicle and the experience we’re able to have from it. Super helpful and kind!

First time using Turo and the experience met my expectations! The host/s were very responsive. Very easy check in and out process, contactless
Drives smooth and great. Easy pick up process. Lots of seats for a big party. We fit 8 with all our luggage and golf bags for a weekend. Only complaint was Not a lot of storage for luggage we ended up having to use the whole back row of seats to put our luggage on. Seats don’t go down.

That sounds like a fantastic rental experience! Here’s a polished version of your review: **Title:** Spacious & Perfect for Extra Guests **Rating:** ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We rented this 15-passenger van for a trip from Reno-Tahoe Airport to our vacation home in Lake Tahoe, and it was absolutely perfect. The vehicle had plenty of room, making it an ideal choice for accommodating our extra guests. It was comfortable, clean, and drove smoothly—exactly what we needed for a hassle-free experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a spacious and reliable rental!

Easy pickup and drop off. Van worked well for taking a volleyball team to and from the tournament.

Easy pick up and drop off at GSR. Thank you Brett for letting us use the van for our volleyball team!

Very communicative and clear, simple instructions. Just what we needed for the weekend function trip and looking forward to booking again in the future!

No toll roads operate in the Reno area or throughout Nevada, making your car rental experience more straightforward for budget planning. The state funds highway maintenance through fuel taxes and vehicle registration fees rather than toll collection systems. This means you can drive freely between the airport, downtown Reno, and Lake Tahoe without encountering any toll booths.
No, you don't need personal insurance coverage to rent a car on Turo. In the US, any personal insurance you may have that covers damage to the host's vehicle would kick in before your Turo protection plan. When booking a car in the US, you'll choose between three protection plans — Premier (eligibility requirements apply), Standard, or Minimum — to get the level of protection that's right for you. On each trip, you're covered with third-party automobile liability insurance provided under a policy issued to Turo by Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company.* In New York state, you'll also choose between Premier (if available), Standard, or Minimum. With each plan, you're covered with liability insurance of $1,250,000.* Protection plans for New York trips also include access to roadside assistance, priority phone support, and 24/7 customer assistance.
Several gas stations operate within a few miles of RNO along major routes like US-395 and Terminal Way. Electric vehicle charging stations are available at various locations throughout Reno, including shopping centers and hotels near the international airport. Many newer charging networks have expanded coverage in Nevada to support electric car travel between Reno and California destinations.
Nevada requires all passengers to wear seat belts, and you must stop completely at red lights before making right turns where permitted. Speed limits around Reno-Tahoe International Airport typically range from 25-45 mph in urban areas, increasing on highways. Always yield to pedestrians in crosswalks and maintain proper following distances, especially during Tahoe area winter conditions.
You can get discounts and low cost car rental on Turo. On your Account page, make sure you've checked the box to receive email notifications, and enable push notifications from the Turo app in your phone settings — we'll send you occasional promo codes, discounts, and deals. A van rental makes excellent sense for large groups visiting Lake Tahoe or exploring Nevada's outdoor attractions with substantial gear. Passenger van options provide ample space for ski equipment, camping supplies, or luggage for extended family trips. Consider your specific needs — rental vans excel for group travel but may be unnecessary for solo business trips around Reno.
The scenic drive to Lake Tahoe via US-431 (Mount Rose Highway) offers stunning mountain views and leads to California's premier alpine destination. Many visitors also choose the route south through Carson City to explore Nevada's capital and historic Virginia City. Interstate 80 westbound provides access to Sacramento and San Francisco, while eastbound leads to fascinating desert landscapes and Utah.
To rent a car on Turo in the US, you must be 18 years old or older.
Exit RNO and follow signs for US-395 South toward Reno, which provides the most direct route to downtown Nevada's largest city. The journey takes you through several major intersections before reaching the central business district near the Truckee River. Your rental car will navigate easily through well-marked streets that connect the airport to Reno's core area.
