A spacious interior with room for the whole gang

There are many reasons to choose a Ford Transit for your next rental van, but space has to be at the top of the list. This generously sized van seats 15 passengers comfortably, and you'll be able to take all your luggage and more.

Versatile storage space for bulky items

The Ford Transit is a great choice for van rental, whether you're transporting a big group or need to load up large items. The seats easily fold down, giving you the flexible room you need for everything, from sports equipment to large musical instruments. Even with its generous payload, the Transit handles and drives as smoothly as a standard passenger car.

Easy access for loading and unloading

No more scrambling over other passengers to get in and out of the van! The Ford Transit has a large sliding door that clicks easily into place, giving people ample room to climb in and out with dignity. You'll also have an easy time loading and unloading items from the back of the Transit. The rear doors open up to 253 degrees, so there's no need to be a yoga master to get things in and out.

The passenger van rental that gives you everything you need

Having a hard time deciding what you need when it comes to van or truck rental? A Ford Transit could be just the answer. With its spacious, comfortable interior, the Transit has enough room to keep everyone happy on even the longest road trip. It's also ideal for transporting bulky items around the city. Here are some of the vehicle features that are sure to turn you into a dedicated Transit fan.

Generous headroom and legroom

People tend to moan when they have to sit in the back seat, but not in a Transit. This is a modern, sleek take on the classic van, designed to keep passengers happy and comfortable. Depending on whether you choose a Transit with a high or low roof, you could have up to 165 cm of headroom. Even at the back of the van, legroom is a generous 85 cm, with more legroom available the further forward passengers sit. This is a van that can comfortably take a full group of grown adults.

A mighty engine to power your adventures

The Transit offers a big improvement on the old Ford Econoline range of vans, and not just in terms of its sleek, stylish body. The Transit also has a modern engine with the perfect balance of power and fuel efficiency. Depending on the exact make, model and year, the Transit may have a Ford EcoBoost or EcoBlue engine. Both are known for their power and performance.

Advanced technology for comfort and safety

The passengers are happy, but what about the driver? Well, the Ford Transit uses the latest technology to ensure a comfortable, safe driving experience. Driver-assistance technologies include automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, a digital rear-view mirror, and a handy 360-degree camera — a must when you're controlling a large passenger van. A full suite of infotainment options will keep you entertained on long journeys, and swivel front seats add to your comfort.

We rented Peter’s van for a road trip and it was a fantastic experience! The van was extremely spacious, comfortably fitting 10 people with plenty of room to sit and even sleep when needed. It was perfect for our long journey. Peter was a great host—friendly, responsive, and made the check-in and check-out process super easy. We ended up returning the van two days earlier than expected, and Peter was flexible and accommodating with the change. We really appreciated his understanding. Would definitely rent from him again in the future. Highly recommend!

Ford Transit driving tips

If you're a first-time van driver, handling a Ford Transit can be daunting. Luckily, this modern marvel is designed to make your life easy, but there are a few things to keep in mind. Here's what you need to know before you begin your van rental adventure:

Let's make one thing clear: a Ford Transit is big. When you're driving a van, there are lots of things to pay attention to. In particular, you should start by getting familiar with your van's blind spots. Fortunately, the Ford Transit has a digital rear-view mirror and 360-degree camera to help you avoid accidents, but you'll still need to exercise caution behind the wheel.

Always drive defensively when you're handling a passenger van, especially when changing lanes or merging. Watch out for cars, motorbikes, bicycles, and pedestrians. You may need to adjust your seat and mirrors quite extensively when you first get into your Ford Transit, ensuring you're perfectly positioned to watch the road.

How much does it cost to rent a Transit?

The cost of Transit van rental can vary depending on the model variant, booking length, extras, and delivery. For cheap Transit rental, look out for potential discounts on longer-duration bookings and early bookings.

How to handle a passenger van

When you're driving a passenger van, you need to think in three dimensions. It's bigger than other vehicles on the road — not just lengthwise, but also in terms of height. There are different Ford Transit vehicle makes, some with a higher or lower roof. If you choose a higher roof model for your passenger van rental, you'll need to take care under overpasses and bridges. Keep in mind that parking can be tricky if you're not used to driving a passenger van. It may take more time than you're used to, and some parking lots might not be suitable for a Ford Transit.

We encourage you to request to add additional drivers before your trip starts, though guests can request to add a driver while a trip is in progress.

To speed up the process, have your additional driver create a Turo account and get approved to drive before you request to add them. All drivers must have a valid driver’s license and meet the age requirements for the car you’ve booked. You can request to add drivers via the “Trips” tab in the Turo app without additional driver charges or extra costs.

If you cancel after the free cancellation period ends, you will be charged a cancellation fee.

In the rare event a host cancels, you’ll be notified immediately so you can book another car, or we’ll help you find one. Your refund can be temporarily held to expedite rebooking, or the funds can be returned to your bank account — your choice.
