I had a really great experience with this car rental service , it was kinda smooth from start to finish. The vehicle was clean, well-maintained , and honestly super comfortable to drive. The whole rental process felt quick and easy, no hassle, and the host were friendly professional and helpful the entire time. The car itself performed perfectly during my trip, so the drive was steady and really enjoyable , like a calm ride. The pricing seemed fair, especially for the quality of service they provided. I’m honestly very satisfied and I would use them again later on. Highly recommended !

The car was good. The check engine came on during my trip i notified the host and he checked it immediately but it didn’t affect any of my trip, the car continued to ride smooth only thing i would’ve changed is checking to make sure there is wiper fluid i took the car out of town and it was hard to clear the bugs off without any wiper fluid while driving ! The car also did have a little wet smell but not overpowering! Would definitely rent again!

Communicate with your host

If you have any questions about your rental car booking, you can message your host using the Turo or check the information saved in the app for easy reference.

Parking & airport fees

Orlando International Airport (MCO) requires Turo to collect and remit a mandated fee that permits your host to deliver their vehicle to you. Turo doesn't set this fee, mark it up, or retain any portion of it. Your host must cover the costs of parking at this airport and Turo prohibits hosts who deliver to MCO from charging guests or requesting guest reimbursement for parking.

Why rent a car at the airport on Turo?

Top tips for renting a car in Orlando

Follow these top driving tips and pointers to make your MCO car rental experience as effortless as possible.

How does airport pickup work at Orlando Airport?

On Turo, car rental pickups at Orlando Airport happen at the permitted parking areas, including Surface Lots Atlantis or Endeavour, the South Park Place Economy Lot or the Premium Reserved Parking (Garage C, Level 4 only).

If you are meeting your host at the Train Station Curbside for an in-person exchange, there are several ways to get there. From Terminals A or B, take the Terminal Link (Terminal B, East Hall/Hotel Atrium) to the train station. From Terminal C, exit Level 4, walk through Parking Garage C to the train station.

How does drop-off work at Orlando Airport?

When returning your rental car to Orlando Airport, hosts may use Park My Share at Orlando International Airport (MCO). If you picked up your vehicle there, contact your host via the Turo app for return instructions.

Before your departing flight, park no earlier than four hours before your trip ends or within the car lot limits. For Atlantis or Endeavour Surface Lots, enter using the vehicle’s E-PASS or SunPass. For Premium Reserved Parking (Garage C, Level 4), use the host’s QR code. If full, South Park Place Economy Lot is accessible with E-PASS/SunPass. Once parked, message your host via the Turo app to confirm exactly where the car has been parked.

To return your vehicle in-person via the train station, drive along Jeff Fuqua Blvd/Access Road, past Economy Parking, turn right on Station Loop Road, then bear right to the curbside. Stay with the vehicle until the host arrives.

How far is Orlando Airport from Downtown Orlando?

Depending on the route, Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Downtown Orlando is approximately 13 miles. Under normal traffic, the drive from the main airport typically takes 18 to 25 minutes.

What are the road rules and driving conditions in Orlando?

While you explore Orlando, keep in mind that standard US road rules apply. Keep your seatbelt on, and remember there is strictly no phone use while driving. Speed limits range from 20 to 70 mph, with steep fines for speeding. Expect heavy traffic at peak times in Orlando, which include 7 am to 9:30 am and 4 pm to 6:30 pm on weekdays. In the summer wet season, rain can cause slick roads and poor visibility. In this case, slow down, use headlights, and pull over if needed.

What is parking like in Orlando?

Parking can be challenging in high-traffic areas, around any theme park, in Downtown Orlando, and shopping districts. In those areas, it’s often easier to find a spot within walking distance from the main strips. While metered street parking is common in central areas, public parking garages are a good alternative for high-demand areas and offer relatively affordable rates.

Are there toll roads in Orlando?

Orlando has several toll roads, including Florida’s Turnpike. They are widely used to go to or from the Orlando International Airport (MCO), or bypass traffic on I-4.

Where can I find gas stations and EV chargers in Orlando?

There are various methods of ground transportation available once you arrive at Orlando International Airport (MCO), including the LYNX bus service, trains, and shuttles. However, for a more convenient and relaxing travel experience, a rental car allows you to set your own schedule and explore destinations beyond public transport routes. Plus, with flexible car rental locations dotted around Orlando and directly at the airport, getting on the road has never been easier when booking on Turo.

Choose from a wide range of vehicle classes to suit any budget or occasion on Turo. Zip around the city streets in a Kia Forte, turn heads behind the wheel of a Ford Mustang 2021 or get from A to B in an electric car like the Tesla Model 3, just to name a few.

How much does it cost to rent a car in Orlando?

The cost of car rental in Orlando can vary depending on car type, booking length, extras, and delivery. For cheap car rentals in Orlando, look out for discounts on longer-duration bookings and early bookings.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of license do I need to rent a car on Turo?

Turo accepts valid licenses (not expired, suspended, or revoked) that allow for full driving privileges; this includes driver’s licenses issued outside of the US. Licenses that Turo doesn’t accept in the US include any that have expired, have been altered, are conditional, probational, provisional, or restricted. Learner’s permit/instruction permits are not accepted.

Do I need to be a certain age to rent a car on Turo?

To rent a car on Turo in the US, you must be 18 years old or older.

How does car rental insurance work on Turo?

You don’t need personal insurance coverage to rent a car on Turo.

In the US, any personal insurance you may have that covers damage to the host’s vehicle would kick in before your Turo protection plan. When booking a car in the US, you’ll choose between three protection plans — Premier (eligibility requirements apply), Standard, or Minimum — to get the level of protection that’s right for you. On each trip, you’re covered with third-party automobile liability insurance provided under a policy issued to Turo by Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company.*

In New York state, you’ll also choose between Premier (if available), Standard, or Minimum. With each plan, you’re covered with liability insurance of $1,250,000.* Protection plans for New York trips also include access to roadside assistance, priority phone support, and 24/7 customer assistance.

On the vehicle pages, you’ll see the total miles or kilometres you’re allowed to drive under the heading “Distance included.” You can find cars offering unlimited mileage with every trip by using the “Unlimited distance” filter.

Can other people drive the car that I rented?

Yes, multiple guests can drive the car you rent on Turo, as long as they are all approved to drive. The primary driver (whoever rented the car) can add additional drivers with no fees or additional charges. Only the primary driver can request to add drivers; Turo hosts cannot do it for you. We encourage you to request to add additional drivers before your trip starts, though guests can request to add a driver while a trip is in progress.

To speed up the process, have your additional driver create a Turo account and get approved to drive before you request to add them. All drivers must have a valid driver’s license and meet the age requirements for the car you’ve booked. You can request to add drivers via the “Trips” tab in the Turo app without additional driver charges or extra costs.

At which airports can I pick up my car on Turo?

* Any personal insurance you may have that covers damage to the host’s vehicle would kick in before your protection plan, except in limited situations for trips booked in Maryland, but this protects your own wallet. Liability insurance is provided under a policy issued to Turo by Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company. Terms, conditions, and exclusions apply. The policy does not provide coverage for damage to a host’s vehicle.

For questions or information about the third party liability insurance that is included in protection plans, consumers in Maryland and the licensed states listed here may contact Turo Insurance Agency at (415) 508-0283 or claims@turo.agency. For questions about how damage to a host’s vehicle is handled, visit the Turo Support site.

When a trip is booked in the state of Washington, physical damage to the host’s vehicle is covered by insurance purchased by Turo, but Turo’s insurance does not change the contractual responsibilities of hosts or guests with respect to physical damage to a host’s vehicle.
