The Porsche itself was a great car and I would give the vehicle a solid 4 stars. However, the overall experience was closer to 2 stars because of the pickup and cleanliness.
We had scheduled a specific pickup time, and unfortunately the host was late without letting us know in advance. We ended up waiting outside and wondering what was happening until we called the host ourselves. For anyone traveling with a tight schedule, hotel check-ins, appointments, or business meetings, I think it’s a basic courtesy to communicate if the pickup is going to be delayed.
When we arrived, the car was still being washed and wasn’t ready for pickup. The interior had been wiped down with what appeared to be a dirty towel, and the windows were particularly dirty. During the day, the sunlight made it difficult to see through the windshield, and at night, the headlights from other cars caused the same issue. For safety reasons, we ended up cleaning the windows ourselves.
There was also trash left inside the car, including empty vape boxes in the left door and gums in the middle compartments. Honestly, finding someone else’s trash inside a rental car is quite unpleasant and, in my opinion, not an acceptable way to hand over a vehicle to a new guest.
The exterior of the car also had not been washed. The host mentioned that we could wash it ourselves and send the receipt. Ok…but personally, I don’t think that should be the client’s responsibility when picking up a rental.
At the end of the rental, we also returned the car with the fuel level slightly below where we received it. That part is completely on us, and we have no issue acknowledging that. However, considering the overall experience and that we were only a very small amount below the original fuel level, we were disappointed that there wasn’t a little more goodwill from the host, especially after we had to clean the windows ourselves and received the car in the condition described above. They made us pay extra fees for it.
I’m giving 2 stars because the Porsche itself was enjoyable and drove well, but the pickup experience and cleanliness really took away from the overall experience. With better communication and having the car properly cleaned and ready at the scheduled pickup time, this would easily have been a 4-star experience.

We refunded the car wash and apologized for it.
The guest didn’t want to wait for deep cleaning as the car was getting inspected and getting ready for the trip.
This is what happens when you offer high discounts for a Porsche.
