Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.
I rented this vehicle for a 3-day holiday trip. After driving only about 30-40 km from pickup, the car displayed a low tire pressure warning while I was driving Vancouver downtown. As soon as it was safe to stop, I inspected the tire and found a screw embedded in it. I immediately changed the flat tire with the spare tire, documented everything with photos, and informed the host through the Turo app.
The incident completely disrupted my holiday plans. Instead of enjoying my Vancouver trip, I spent the evening dealing with the flat tire and waiting for the host's instructions. The next morning, I returned the vehicle despite having two rental days remaining.
What was most frustrating was receiving an invoice of $325 plus tax for a tire replacement. The host claimed the tire was damaged from being driven while flat, which I strongly dispute since I stopped and changed the tire as soon as it was safe to do so.
I did everything I could to handle the situation responsibly, but my trip was ruined and I was left facing additional charges. Very disappointing overall. I hope future renters have a better experience.
