The host informed me about the presence of an AirTag in the vehicle only one hour before pickup, which appears to be contrary to Turo’s policies. The host later stated that the AirTag had been removed, but I had no way to verify this on the day of the rental. Additionally, the car was not particularly clean.
Communication with the host was unclear, with many messages appearing to be AI-generated automated responses rather than clear, personalized communication. The drop-off process was also cumbersome, as the owner was absent and I had to return the keys by placing them in a lockbox attached to the wheel.

This review is retaliatory given a dispute over the 67 km mileage overage, which the guest refused to pay & asked for waiver. I must follow Turo’s policies. No AirTag is present; an outdated automated message was inadvertently left after I removed over 2 years ago. I clarified this and disconnected the outward-facing dashcam in person. GPS and lockboxes are permitted features. Automated messages address common questions, not AI-generated replies. No cleanliness concerns were raised at pickup.
Great car, great host, wonderful experience overall. Mitul was a pleasure to deal with and he was super responsive to make sure all my queries were answered in time. I highly recommend his car! :)
