The car was good at pick-up but had visible pre-existing exterior damage on the rear passenger-side area when I received it, which the host aknowledged when we met. After normally driving the car i noticed a little squeak when braking but nothing too alarming. I thought maybe the brakings pads are at their end of life also it was coming from the same passengers’s side where the visible damage was. The sign of changing oil was also there when i received the cat at drop off so at this point his last check up for his car has been a while. At the end of my trip after dropping off the car i even told the host the brake of was making noise and to my surprise the host is making a Report claim that IM the one who made the brakes sound? How is that possible that i am responsible for damaging one brake pads in only 2 days of renting his car? And that its exactly the one that got visible damage on it beforehand? He is only using me to get the Turo insurance pay off his brakes. Anyhow, very unpleasant , i hope TURO will make this right.

Lisa, thank you for the feedback. When the car returned with a brake concern, I followed Turo's required process and filed a claim for their independent review. To be clear: Turo denied that claim, I accepted the decision, and I paid for the repairs myself; I received nothing from insurance. The suggestion I filed for money is simply not what happened. I wish you well; my full review history reflects how I host.
Great service , car is smooth, a super host with good and fast communication, the only issue the car wasn’t clean , but all good .
