....This might be a long review...
Something felt off from the moment I saw the car. The realization that I had picked the wrong model Range Rover. Now seeing the car, I said to myself little overpriced in my opinion. But hey it's already paid I'll just roll with it. Got in and left the meet up spot. Immediately noticed the spongy brakes and almost loose steering. But again, I'll work with it I only have 2.5 days left on this trip with my 9yo daughter before we head back to Bermuda on a 8am flight. Plus I just finished a booking with Maserati, so I'm comparing apple's to oranges in regards to car and drive quality. Continued on with my journey, it rained hard almost my whole drive to Niagra Falls area. The front windshield was dirty. Had something on it that kept smudging up the window. Had to keep spraying water over and over to clear my view. Eventually got there had dinner with my cousins. End of the evening we got back into Milton where we were staying. Parked the car in the hotel lot, got out and locked up everything. Had big plans in the morning. Got outside just after 9am ready to go, my daughters excited for the day. To our surprise the car won't unlock. Try after try no luck. I messaged the host. Hey there's something wrong I think the fob or car is dead. 'Okay I'll send roadside, and a Uber with the extra fob'. 2hrs later.... They show up jumpstarts car. Extra fob was also dead. I'm getting accused of leaving lights or something on. I've never had a bad experience with TURO. I asked, what if this was 5am when I was on my way to the airport..?.. let's get through the day and see what happens he says. And then we can talk about 'refunds and perks'... His words in turo messages. By time we left the hotel it was too late in the day for our plans and had to cancel them. Went along with other things and gave the car a second chance, had no noticable issue starting all day. The next morning we move a little earlier to squeeze some last day fun in. Only to come outside again to a dead car..... Contact host again. I want a car swap. Only finding out about this option later in the afternoon the previous day but not fully understanding how it works. Still being blamed. Was told roadside was coming. Was told they were contacting TURO. Only to check in 30+mins later and nobody was contacted. I had to turn on my sim card from home to call turo myself and get the ball rolling. Back to back problems with the car. Hours later finally get something sorted. A car was on its way. Tried to talk about the inconvenience and refunds again. 'Let me check the car out first..' Later that day I get sent pics of the dash, showing the 'auto-headlights' symbol and getting told I left lights on and that I left that car with a quarter tank of fuel. So to him that's justification to not give me any kind of refund. Oh wait and I had 1 toll charge he said. Keep in mind. How was I supposed to get fuel if the car was dead in the morning for the second time. I still had till 630am the next day to return the car. I went on with my day in the new car enjoyed what I could with my daughter and made it to the airport the next morning with no issues getting there. After returning back home to Bermuda I get a message from the host trying to apologize for what he said and blaming me. He admits that it was the car having an issue and not me. So I brought up the topic of the 'refunds and perks' again only to be told again.. ' I'm not charging you for the fuel or tolls right....'
Issue is still not resolved I'm about to contact turo again and escalate my issue and concerns to the necessary people. All in all I would never book this car again. I would never recommend this car or host. And I checked this host reviews and any negative comment, he has a great comeback to play the blame game. My daughter also found used floss picks under the seat when she went to retrieve her apple pen.
Shay, apologies yet again. While your comments covers the majority of what happened and I understand the frustration , it misses the mark on attitude. This was a new issue for me and the car. Look at other reviews. I tried many different ways to resolve the matter as you alluded to. I finally made the call to get the car swap done for you so you don’t encounter this issue next day being preventative. I follow good protocols when it comes to maintenance, but this was truly unforeseen.

The host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We even made arrangements to make the experience easier for both of us. The Range Rover was a dream to drive and packed with a lot of safety features. I took it ok a road trip and had no issues at all. Definitely a good experience.
