Car was great and the pickup was really easy. Would use again in the future!

This car was great condition and fun to drive. It did have a noticeable odor, possibly some liquid spilled on rear trunk mat, likely easy to clean. Would be 5 stars otherwise.

The car sharing experience was mostly solid but there were issues that caused disappointment:

1) I arrived 5-7 minutes before pickup time to ensure a smooth pickup, actively updating the owners of my arrival to get the car. There were no instructions of where/how to pick up the car in the parking lot. I messaged them while standing in the cold(temperature was Feels like -16) and got no response and even contacted Turo support for help. After 20-25 minutes of waiting, I finally recieved the information on where the car was and how to get it. This was a bad start to the trip.
2) Upon entering the car, it smelled like rotten fast food. We proceeded to air the car out for a while but this was only a short term fix. We proceeded to purchase air freshener for the car which helped improve the situation.

I have nothing against the hosts, im not looking for compensation or extra time to drive this car. But I feel the need to write this to prevent another Turo user from experiencing something like this, but more importantly for the owners of this car to improve the professionalism of their operations. Otherwise, this was a great car to drive, and was the perfect vehicle considering the severe weather in Halifax this week. A little bit more professionalism and communication will help improve their car sharing service.

Drifty was an amazing host. Easy process for both pick up and drop off at the airport. Great instructions and communication as well. The car quality was great clean and comfortable. I would definitely rent again from Drifty.
