The car at pick up seemed fine until 2 days later, the battery light turned on along with every light on the dashboard. The car broke down and we were stranded on the Trans-Canada Highway. Mind you, we are a group of 4 girls with little to no signal and phone batteries dying. Thank god I selected roadside assistance at time of booking, but even then, roadside assistance had no sense of urgency and arrived 4-5 hours late. We had no choice but to hitchhike to our destination.
The hosts should have done a more thorough job at checking all the mechanics of the car to ensure that it’s safe to drive. This car has put us in an unsafe situation with emotional and mental distress. Please be careful before booking. I will never book with them again.

We are so sorry this happened during your trip! While we strictly maintain and inspect our fleet, mechanical parts can occasionally fail without warning, even on brand-new cars. Out of over 400 completed trips, this was our very first unexpected breakdown. The vehicle has since been fully repaired and re-inspected by a licensed and certified mechanic shop. We truly appreciate your understanding, and we're sorry again for the frustration this caused!
